QUOTE(patienceGNR @ Apr 19 2012, 01:42 PM) I also have this. Mine is at the top left, whatever I do, it just won't go off, cotton bud clean the sensor, mirror, whatever, it's still there. Definitely not the lens as the dot is there when I look through the viewfinder without a lens. Newbies love high MP. When they see a DSLR, they usually go 'how many MP is this?'24mp for what on an entry level So Nikon is probably on the right track... when the shop goes, 24MP sharp sharp. Newbies buys it immediately |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Apr 19 2012, 08:37 PM) Im an ultra newbie so im still keen on getting a D800, Wait for stock... the price now is pretty much because stock is limited therefore the seller can jack up price slightly. Demand > Supply.28 1.8g seems promising, But probably gonna skip since i owned 16-35 f4 Question for u guys who thinking of getting D800, wait or grab? |

The AF issue could be hardware or if lucky just a firmware upgrade... if its hardware its going to be really troublesome.

QUOTE(hkenh @ Apr 19 2012, 09:44 PM) I can't help but as a Nikon fanboy, D800 smokes the 5d mk3 according to Dxo Lab, LOL Hahaha! And the 'ISO' rating is better than the 5D3. Must be the way it is measured giving D800 the edge.http://nikonrumors.com/2012/04/19/dxomark-...rk-iii-81.aspx/ |

QUOTE(hkenh @ Apr 19 2012, 10:13 PM) it would most probably look the same up to iso3200 at 22mp Hahaha! Availability upon launch, D800 0/10 5D3 10/10!funny thing is canonrumors ppl are all in denial mode hahahah and to have someone as the admin of the site saying the results are fake canon ppl should come up with another website for camera testing and include factors like camera availability, that way they could trump Nikon like no tomorrow! |

QUOTE(-YS- @ Apr 23 2012, 12:36 AM) But frankly, I will eventually move to D800. Reason not because of the sensor, because of 100% VF and the improved AF module. As for now, I'm satisfied with my D700's sensor image quality (of course D3s is better... but more $ needed >_< D700 is the current sweet spot for price/performance ratio among Nikon FX). So if D800 having better image quality, its a plus for me. |

QUOTE(sokdotcom @ Apr 25 2012, 10:12 PM) Try outdoor instead? It happens only indoor right?I see your pix are all indoors... my hypothesis is that the lights are fluorescent lighting which flickers at 60hz, so at higher ISO you use higher shutter speed and you capture different lighting each time. |
