I believe from looking, mine's has a very slight green tint too. I'll try and post a pic. But nothing that really worries me like a back focus. How bad was yours? I did check my D800 with a 24mm f/1.4 and a 35mm f/1.4 at f/1.4 in low light conditions. Seems it does not have backfocus or focusing problems when using the left side AF as far as I can tell.
Yellow or green tint? Woow, 9380 is a very good price.
9500 is not bad what... I went to Thailand not knowing a lot of features on the D800. Too new. Not used the video yet too.
Yes indeed. My friends are already making plans for next year !  laugh.gif

Hey, which booth were these girls from?
Yes, unfortunately girls over there seem to be are more beautiful.  wub.gif
+1 Such a pleasure shooting makes all the trip and effort worth it.
Over there, I read they get paid somewhere about RM 200 to RM 500 per day. I don't know how much girls get paid over here.
Nice pose but I have a feeling that too much skin smoothening applied.
Yes, 5DMkIII stock berlambak !

They're from Isuzu laugh.gif I was searching high and low where they are from, one of the pix can see the background LOL. Phew.

I looked at my EXIF summary,

60% - 35mm
25% - 85mm
15% - 16-35mm

70200 only less than 5 shots... my friend was using it.

the 15% of the 16-35mm.... are you only using 16mm all the time for 16-35mm?
*
Not really, depending... because when I use 16-35 I only can shoot the stage + the cars, for the girls kinda pushing hard on the ISO + flash already and also no subject isolation (no bokeh!). So I usually stick with 35mm as it is more balanced, 85mm is too tele sad.gif.

celciuz, i saw in your flickr that you r using ggs on your d700. can the plastic cover still closes it? i dont think so rite as it's thicken already. am i rite?

anyway, u alwiz have nice shots everywhere.  thumbup.gif

wink.gif
*
I use the GGS as a replacement for the plastic cover, no point using the plastic cover as dust can get in between and potentially scratches the LCD display when there is a bump on the plastic cover. Just stick to the GGS will do smile.gif

Thanks for the compliment! biggrin.gif

I must add that GGS is really good, though I cracked mine when I accidentally hit it with my water bottle. Everytime my friends check out my camera they'd go 'whoaaa ur LCD is cracked!' It's just the screen protector.

and I haven't got a new one yet. lol
*
Yeap, GGS is good. Best part is it looks like the display itself almost like nothing is put on. Some even ask me how come I don't have any protection on it tongue.gif

QUOTE(Everdying @ Apr 9 2012, 11:16 AM)
u sure when it cracked it didnt scratch the lcd below?
*
I broke my D90 GGS before too... the big zip hit on the display of my UD35 when I emergency brake ._.

I saw some shops are selling GGS at many varieties of pricing... some very cheap and some on market rate. all packaged as GGS. Is there fakes around?

as now I'm using plastic cover and I really did not thought of what you had mentioned if i accidently bumped on the plastic cover, it will hits back onto my body LCD! isK~ I'm just thinking that if bad things happened, the plastic case will go first... but tat's it.

Well, i know it depends too on how bad is the hit... i know GGS oso wont be 100% proof but having it tat way protects the  LCD more than the plastic does...

may I know wat's the cost is like you got for your D700? I just do not wanna be duped in buying counterfeit as paying premium, gets a lemon...

wink.gif
*
I got mine from Yamiya if not mistaken. Goes for about RM45 I guess? Slight bump on the plastic won't affect but if its a soft bump + dirt in between, then potentially scratch the actual LCD display. I like the GGS pasted on concept as no dust can get in between.

if we already put the normal lcd protector, can we cabut the old lcd cover and attached the GGS?
ask the shopman to do the work or is it just not possible? TQ smile.gif
*
"Normal" refers to the film type? Just remove it and put GGS smile.gif

the 18-105mm is already a good walkabout lens, what is that you find limiting with your current zoom?
if you need more light, the 50mm f1.8G is a good companion

Buy a reasonable one should be fine. Even though obsolete, my Eyeone Display 2 still serves me well. Got it in 2007.
I find that reply funny. It's like asking why do you need perfect vision for your eyes... It's because I like to see things correctly !
Got such a thing as 18-100?  biggrin.gif

Putting that aside... I'm anticipating for your images from Bangkok... wanna see full size too... D800's 36MP glory!

My friend just came back from China with shots taken on his D800... doesn't look impressive sad.gif I'm losing interest... come on let me see some great stuff.

Let's see what jchue73 has from Bangkok... cause I've been to the same event with my D700... so more or less can compare what's the image quality like from the D800.
