Zoom trinity -> 70-200
Prime trinity -> 35 and 85

I don't have a 24-70 >_<
*
aiya then bring all la, extra weight for muscle workout biggrin.gif

i dont think you need 85mm if you bring 70-200mm, i believe 70-200 can give more bokeh @f2.8 from a distance hmm.gif

Just arrived back home... err... I dun know... event looks subpar compared to BIMS2012... lol I set my standards too high for SIN... but then again, SIN seems at much lower budget since for BIMS such events the big manufacturers all put in budget for their booths.

Erm, I would say most of the local show girls there are rather new... or looks new to this motor show event line... >_< they always stick together (no confidence?) and also the poses are kinda.. o_O

Not to mention the photogs there are aggressive (well I guess its the best nice word haha!).
*
the good one who know how to pose to the camera are rather rare or expensive, i only know a few that actually know how to pose themselves in front of the camera, others are just normal while some of them pose like rather defensive

even most of the girls in PC fair are new, never see them before (or i am really outdated tongue.gif)

Nikon D5100kit (18-55) rm2300 free 8gb and bag and 1 extra battery (free batt up to 31st may only
D5100 body rm 1900 free 8gb and bag and 1 extra(up to 31st may for the free batt)
D7000 body rm3400 free 8gb and bag free 1 more 50mm lens f1.8d worth rm400
D7000 kit(18-105) rm4250 free 8gb bag and 1 more 50mm lens f1.8d worth rm400

Guys I need recommendation which to take sad.gif
*
what's your budget? both camera is in different price range

D7000 is probably one of the best crop body you can get for nikon

while D5100 use the same sensor as D7000 but with less AF points and no dual memory card slot

i would recommend you to get the D5100 is you are tight on budget and wish to get a mid range dslr

the price for both D5100 you stated there is quite okay, recommend you to get the D5100 18-55mm if you are new to photography and wish to learn, kit lens is a very good all rounder lens

not sure about the budget will have to ask my parents first XD. im currently using canon s95 and would deep further into photography. Do the AF points matter much? And what's weather seal function?
*
AF points does matter, especially in shooting sport and moving object, it helps in shooting wide aperture like 1.4 or 1.8 where there is small depth of field and less room for error, you can select the nearest AF points without moving your camera much

weather seal is something like water proof, weather seal camera can shoot under rain and dont need to worry about water splash, however that does not mean that you can shooting underwater, even if you shoot under rain or splashed by water you still have to put it in dehumidifier box for it to dry out

weather seal is only weather seal for the body not the lens, not all lens are weather seal especially older lens

QUOTE(Acquainted @ May 29 2012, 03:32 PM)
which will be btr combination?

D7000 + 18-105mm + 1.8D
D7000 + 18-105mm + 1.8G
D5100 + 18-55mm + 1.8G

very very very very confused haiz
*
D7000 + 18-105mm + 1.8G is a good choice if your budget allow

D5100 + 18-55mm + 1.8G is not bad either

QUOTE(Acquainted @ May 29 2012, 03:43 PM)
just asking, why there's no kit lens 18-105mm for d5100?
*
some seller have a choice for 18-105mm for D5100 with higher selling price nod.gif

i'm using D5100 + 35mm 1.8g without kitlens, and i use my 35mm most of the time

i have a 55-300mm as well, i use both 35mm and 55-300mm for portrait

but i cannot take photo of large group of people because i dont have wide angle lens, need to walk very very far if i use my 35mm, thats why kitlens is good sometimes

one thing that i like D5100 is the swivel LCD, couple with monopod is the best to take photos of stage event in crowded area biggrin.gif
