Whaaat?? Nope my lecturer didn't teach at all. I can squeeze in info and memorise but i'm worried that i can't apply it during the exam.

My lecturer did mention a few things that weren't really an important part of the syllabus, but not planning to study them anyway...got lots to do already...
*
Did you try PYP?? It's better to do the questions now rather than study i guess.

F5 killed me!!!!
Q1... outsourcing... i've done it wrong!!! I want to cry... Argh
Q2... target costing as expected but all are theoretical... i was happy when i saw target costing until i found that there is no calculation AT ALL!!!!
Q3... multiplicative model - time series... my lecturer only taught us addictive model.. goddamnit!!!! behavioral aspect of optimistic budgeting... wooh... bullshitting again
Q4... operating statement... 12 marks should be in my hand... but the rest of the 8 marks... Goddamnit... I don't know what the hell TQM is... so blank... can't even find anyway to bullshit.
Q5... ROI and RI... i got a negative RI and an one-digit ROI, clearly indicating that i was wrong!!!! and the behavioral aspect of performance measurement..
I'm going to fail. FAIL. FAIL!!!
The new examiner is totally a crazy woman!!!!!
Despite the fact i gave up my F6 to focus on F5, i still fail...
God...

TQM (Total Quality Management iirc) - Just In Time Inventory system

p/s: from the very beginning, i was against the idea of dropping one to concentrate solely on one but u might still pass... be positive
*
I won't regret for dropping out one subject. I regret for dropping F6 instead of F5. lol... gotta take at least 2 extra papers for the next sem.. it's really frustrating i guess... I could say my possibility of passing is almost 0% as the part i'm certain that i'm correct was only the operating statement. the rest. DISASTER!!!!

QUOTE(hrevijay @ Jun 11 2012, 08:30 PM)
Sorry to hear. You're the first person I thought of when I saw the paper, and the list of topics you mentioned today.

I found it really hard. Calculation work dramatically reduced. I got screwed over the TQM part as well.
*
Yeah. And i still lost the first question calculation part. I combined both the product together for the assessment... I only found it when the time's up!! BIG Disaster for me.
You only screwed over the TQM. i screwed up the whole paper. ==

Hey junggle, take it easy. This is normal.

Hard for me, being first time taking ACCA and screwed up everything!
I think i just have to let it go and focus on my F4 now.

Ya. I did... maybe you could tell me yours so that i can recall. ==

your correction makes me feel worse as i thought continuous improvement was for standard costing... Zz more sad now. T.T

The total of the market share and market size right? i think i got the same answer too. i wasted too much time to calculate them too... tried so many times to get them equal to the sales volume variance.

Really gave up the wrong paper.

Hey nick, do u still remember how much u wrote for f4? Do we need to write averagely 2 pages for each question to really score? Because so far my answers are about 1 page to 1 1/2 only....
*
Did you know how much time it takes for you to write 1 to 1.5 pages?
The PYP's answers are not so long though, probably 3/4 to 1 page for a 10 marks question.
you should know that the average time spending on one question is merely 18 minutes.

yeah... totally agree with you.
The moment i saw the questions, i almost fainted.
Even i didn't learn at all, i was able to determine that it is easy.
Just try next time. >.<

and why so little calculation compared to last sitting?  mad.gif

calculation is not the crucial point to pass (nevertheless important)

writing/theories is the essence

And how your revision on F4?

several properties which are let out can be grouped as one source whether under S.4a or S.4d.
