QUOTE(noonies_naruto @ Aug 10 2012, 07:10 PM) you must have an exam kit/revision kit and past years with you if you plan on doing self-study However, I'm not saying that its better than attending classes, just saying that it is doable F8.. well... all F papers have a pattern that you can anticipate.. realize that and you will have that advantage how to anticipate? DO A LOT OF QUESTIONS! you don't even really have to write it down, just read and read and read(strictly for F8 only!) as for me, I attended classes anyways just to get an idea on what college life is all about I have 2010 BPP textbook for F8. Is it usable for attending 2012 exams? I was thinking of self study because my school doesn't offer F8 this semester. It slows down my target of completing ACCA within 2 years lol. QUOTE(IMoob @ Aug 15 2012, 10:26 PM) See a lot of people here criticizing Joe Fang... His passing rate is quite good actually, I also passed first attempt under him. His conso method is very weird and messy but if u can get used to it, it saves you a lot of time! (well for F7, heard from seniors his P2 is crap) Andrew Pang on the other hand is worse. I failed my first attempt on F5 under him, never teaches theory, asks you to go home self study on the theory part. He is a good person, great businessman, but fail lecturer. Most of my friends failed under him (only 1 passed, but that fella passed everything 1 shot) Another guy to avoid is that Dr. Tee Chai Hong who taught in KSA before. Bad attitude, always belittling others. AVOID HIM! On my last paper for F level (F9) now, anybody know where to go for OBU? Currently tied with Elitejaya I wonder people do OBU RAP before finishing fundamental papers or after?

QUOTE(oOoproz @ Aug 20 2012, 05:10 AM) F7 and F9 I do go for classes... But im still thinking whether wanna go for F5 class anot.. F4 i sure self study ady... Ahh this raya break i gotta study for it first Added on August 20, 2012, 5:21 amHmm, so far this is my first time failing 2 papers... My time management was not really good last sem, was being too playful and last minute end up failed 2 papers... Well I was kinda disappointed but i know i deserved it... I just have to study at the right way n time... I know I can do this, hopefully If you're going to self study for F5, don't leave out any minor topic. Almost got killed by the new examiner last sem but luckily survived.

QUOTE(hrevijay @ Dec 1 2012, 05:08 AM) Hey junggle. Long time no see. Anyways, regarding your query, yeah it's very much possible for F7 unlike F5. U should be alright for Q1 and Q2 which ias almost entirely computation as well as part of Q3 if cash flow comes out. You'd probably struggle in Q3 if performance appraisal is questioned(although some marks are provided for computation of ratios) and Q4 which is almost certainly to be a theory question on framework. Q5 should be alright too as it'll be part computation. What i wonder was if they penalize for calculation mistakes? I think I'll make calculation mistakes under exam time constraint and therefore not getting the balance sheet balanced.

Guys, do you know how to check the results of my previous exams? I can only get my result of last exam sitting.
Btw, I've decided to self-study P1 in this sitting but I only have 2011 textbook. Is it enough?

QUOTE(M90 @ Mar 5 2013, 01:12 AM) Hi, i failed P6 last sitting but this semester i'm not going for tuition. Are there any changes in the P6 syllabus? I only have the textbook for December 2012. Do you think i can use the Dec 2012 textbook for this sitting? For Malaysia variant tax paper, the syllabus changes every December. So I think Dec 2012 textbook should be suitable for this coming sitting.

QUOTE(boyzbe @ Mar 20 2013, 01:34 AM) Hi guys, i was lately noticed that the MQA doesnt recognize the acca student from FIA, which means even i was finished ACCA, i cant even work in malaysia. i passed 8 papers in CAT but fail in t10 so i directly go to F lvl since they had the exemption at that moment. And now i had completed F lvl except F9 and taking P2 at this semester. i was like stucking in d half way i duno what to do! Since the MQA doesnt recognise the FIA student then why malaysia tuition provider want to provide the exemption (FIA direct to ACCA lvl2)? Does any one had the same experience like me? HELP pls.. My tuition provider explanation was that without MQA recognition you can't work for Malaysian government but it is okay for Malaysian private company. I don't think you want to work for Malaysian government, right?

Is it qualified to enroll ACCA? with a higher diploma in secretarial, you should be qualified to enroll. QUOTE(debbieyss @ Mar 30 2013, 11:08 PM) Take a look at these jobs, why are some of the jobs do not acknowledge ACCA? ACCA is not listed in their acknowledged accounting qualifications: http://www.jobstreet.com.my/jobs/2013/3/de...htm?fr=J&src=11http://www.jobstreet.com.my/jobs/2013/3/m/...htm?fr=J&src=11Post-graduate qualification = ACCA
