as i see there is not major changes, retaking next round should not be a problem. you still have 4-5 weeks till exam. limit yourself 2 weeks per paper, you should be doing good enough. dropping one subject is only the last resort

how u know no major changes? u saw our national budget liao?

last time my lecturer said each december sitting will test next year's budget although it haven't implement (next year's budget always announce during october or november)

Hi , i really need help.

The problem is i want to quit acca now, yea just right before the june exam. I'm doing F4 and F7 right now.

I know i can't get my fees refunded anymore but can i still get back the exam fees that i paid to acca?

It makes me feel better knowing there's someone out there like me Lolz

Seriously, its just that i can't stand acca any more. its like a high pressure and high stress course, and the fact that the syllabus is so incredibly huge. Also, acca doesn't teach you anything other than how to become an accountant. I feel like i'm losing my soul lol

Woah 4 times only and you quit ah? But I guess some people are like that..My friend taking P6 and P7 failed both with 49 marks after that he got phobia for ACCA exams..he couldn't go for the finals even though he already paid for them..

Some people just keep continuing on and on for many years. My friend's cousin just passed his last paper (P4) after so many years. He's almost 30 years old.
Hmm, from what I heard..ACCA professional papers is on par with masters..But in the working world ACCA graduates would have the edge (correct me if I'm wrong)..

But really, just do your best..For the F level, I had no clue what was going on most of the time especially for papers F4, F7, F8. But I took 2 by 2 and managed to scrape through the F level

I attempt like below:
F4 and F5
F6 and F7(drop)
F7 and F8(fail both)
F7, F8, F9, P1

Out of all the F papers, you're taking 2 of the toughest papers IMO..Maybe that's why you feel so stressed..Also, exam is nearing that's why stress level increase..I also always feel like quitting ACCA the following sem when nearing exams. Pre-exam blues

When I was taking F4 I had decided to quit ACCA just one month before exams because I didn't know a single thing other than the words "offer and acceptance". Can you imagine I scored 0.5marks (rounded up to 1mark ) for mock exam?? Somehow managed to pass in the end. F5 to me was easy so I had time to focus on F4. There's still plenty of time..I only started studying F4 about 2 weeks to exams(I don't recommend this) by auditing past year Q..

Don't worry..Just try your best for both papers.. Since your F5 okay then put more effort into F4. Still have 1 month to study F4  I'm the worse at memorizing stuff..But I managed to go from 0.5 -> 50..If someone like me can pass, everyone else should be able to

Are u taking F4 as well? Heh i totally understand...its difficult enough trying to memorise my notes from the 1st term.

Btw, is anyone taking F7?? I just had my last revision class for F7 and my lecturer did not give any tips or a few chapters to focus on...

But the truth is, acca syllabus is really huge. To study every chapter and continuously pay attention takes really serious dedication.

I'm not even sure if there's enough time now to revise all the chapters and manage to retain everything for the exam. Thats why ask for tips for important chapters. Haiz...sucks to be an acca student T.T

I know, i totally neglected my F7, i don't know how to do the adjustments  Considering dropping F7 to concentrate on F4 entirely.

Oh my gawd.....I'm doing my questions from the F7 bpp kit right now, and I'm so freaked out la...I don't know what is going on with the adjustments, Every questions adjustment is totally different than the previous. It's confusing. Would it be a good option to drop the exam or continue revising until next month?

Hmm..i thought that i could do both papers..but now i think i might have to drop F7 for good, the exam date is coming so fast, actually quite worried coz the adjustments for F7 is extensive and rather complicated. Scared i can't catch up studying for both papers.

I think i better put full concentration on passing F4 instead.

Its probably irrelevant now but imho your study strategy was incorrect. You should've started with company as it constitutes the biggest portion of the syllabus. I don't blame you. Even my own lecturer only started teaching it midway through April, which I find to be very counter productive. You want to be able to get the biggest chunk out of the way first before attempting the smaller parts.

I agree with you about Ann Irons though. She has really changed the structure of the paper. It's a lot more theoretical now and I find that quite discomforting.

I'm taking F5/F6. I feel sad for you that your lecturer skipped parts of the syllabus. Regardless of whether it comes out in the exams, lecturers have a duty to teach it. They fail to understand that we're learning not just to pass exams, but to apply it in work in the future. I'm very thankful for the fact that my lecturer covered the entire syllabus thoroughly. He did differentiate topics which were exam important and those which were not, emphasizing on the important parts. Nevertheless he covered the entire syllabus.
