as i see there is not major changes, retaking next round should not be a problem. you still have 4-5 weeks till exam. limit yourself 2 weeks per paper, you should be doing good enough. dropping one subject is only the last resort
*
Thanks for the info yeah. But i think i really have to give up one since i really feel so stressss for studying 3 papers in so a short time.

Hi , i really need help.

The problem is i want to quit acca now, yea just right before the june exam. I'm doing F4 and F7 right now.

I know i can't get my fees refunded anymore but can i still get back the exam fees that i paid to acca?
*
I don't think you can get refunded. What i'm curious is why quit?

Seriously, its just that i can't stand acca any more. its like a high pressure and high stress course, and the fact that the syllabus is so incredibly huge. Also, acca doesn't teach you anything other than how to become an accountant. I feel like i'm losing my soul lol

totally agreed. ==

Woah 4 times only and you quit ah? But I guess some people are like that..My friend taking P6 and P7 failed both with 49 marks after that he got phobia for ACCA exams..he couldn't go for the finals even though he already paid for them..

Some people just keep continuing on and on for many years. My friend's cousin just passed his last paper (P4) after so many years. He's almost 30 years old.
Hmm, from what I heard..ACCA professional papers is on par with masters..But in the working world ACCA graduates would have the edge (correct me if I'm wrong)..

But really, just do your best..For the F level, I had no clue what was going on most of the time especially for papers F4, F7, F8. But I took 2 by 2 and managed to scrape through the F level smile.gif

I attempt like below:
F4 and F5
F6 and F7(drop)
F7 and F8(fail both) sweat.gif
F7, F8, F9, P1

Out of all the F papers, you're taking 2 of the toughest papers IMO..Maybe that's why you feel so stressed..Also, exam is nearing that's why stress level increase..I also always feel like quitting ACCA the following sem when nearing exams. Pre-exam blues tongue.gif

When I was taking F4 I had decided to quit ACCA just one month before exams because I didn't know a single thing other than the words "offer and acceptance". Can you imagine I scored 0.5marks (rounded up to 1mark doh.gif ) for mock exam?? Somehow managed to pass in the end. F5 to me was easy so I had time to focus on F4. There's still plenty of time..I only started studying F4 about 2 weeks to exams(I don't recommend this) by auditing past year Q..
*
God!!! notworthy.gif notworthy.gif u're studying full time?? my problem is my English sux so it's hard for me to express what i understand. and i also didn't know a single thing about F4 and only managed to get 28 marks in my class with clues given by lecturer lol. But it's better now after weeks of memorizing past year papers. The feeling of unprepared for exam really get me feel blues.
I feel F5 is easy but i am just scared of some things i didn't give attention will come out in the final exam ZZzz
So you now have already passed ACCA??

Nope..I'm doing P2 rclxub.gif  and P3.. Getting the blues again  doh.gif

Don't worry..Just try your best for both papers.. Since your F5 okay then put more effort into F4. Still have 1 month to study F4  rclxm9.gif I'm the worse at memorizing stuff..But I managed to go from 0.5 -> 50..If someone like me can pass, everyone else should be able to smile.gif

actually i'm taking another paper F6 but i've decided to give up because i really feel that i'm short of time. I also hate memorizing stuff. After memorizing somehow will forget then have up memorize again the same things.

Are u taking F4 as well? Heh i totally understand...its difficult enough trying to memorise my notes from the 1st term.

Btw, is anyone taking F7?? I just had my last revision class for F7 and my lecturer did not give any tips or a few chapters to focus on...
*
Yeah. F4 is killing me. really hate memorizing stuffs. However, i already finish memorizing other parts except for the company law. but company law is just too huge. I think i'll just read through the past year questions for company law and try to focus on some topic emphasis by my lecturer. Did your F4 lecturer teach partnership?

Very solid advice there  rclxms.gif  notworthy.gif

But the truth is, acca syllabus is really huge. To study every chapter and continuously pay attention takes really serious dedication.

I'm not even sure if there's enough time now to revise all the chapters and manage to retain everything for the exam. Thats why ask for tips for important chapters. Haiz...sucks to be an acca student T.T
*
Did you teacher ask you to study in partnership?? Because there was actually 100% sure for the past few years that after partnership come out, the next sem would be agency!! Just want to clarify this.
Spent too much time in F4 makes me feel guilty for neglecting my F5 ==''' Took my F4 mock exam today. Such a disaster still even after study for such a long period lol.

Not partnership, my lecturer asked us to study loan capital and company formation. Don't know if its reliable or not.

I don't understand what u mean, are u saying that agency would be coming out?

I know, i totally neglected my F7, i don't know how to do the adjustments  cry.gif Considering dropping F7 to concentrate on F4 entirely.
*
Didn't you lecturer tell you that there was a trend for past few year that once partnership come out, the next sem would be agency?? ==
I think it would be better to drop paper if you think you really can't cope with studying multi papers.
I just give up F6 and now focusing on F4 and F5. After company law then I'll start F5 liao.
All the best yeah~~

Oh my gawd.....I'm doing my questions from the F7 bpp kit right now, and I'm so freaked out la...I don't know what is going on with the adjustments, Every questions adjustment is totally different than the previous. It's confusing. Would it be a good option to drop the exam or continue revising until next month?
*
I felt the same way when i tried to do F6 pyp... like knowing nothing... felt panic...
if u really want drop it.. drop it now... don't waste too much time on it if you really know you can't do it.
F4 is relatively easier i guess... just understand the past year papers and try your best to memorize them.
Still got about 4 weeks for F4, i guess should be enough gua...
Still on the way memorizing and forgeting and memorizing again F4... Zzz

Hmm..i thought that i could do both papers..but now i think i might have to drop F7 for good, the exam date is coming so fast, actually quite worried coz the adjustments for F7 is extensive and rather complicated. Scared i can't catch up studying for both papers.

I think i better put full concentration on passing F4 instead.

Hey there, have u gone through all your revision class for F4 yet? Do u want to compare notes and see whether our lecturers tips have similarities or completely different?
*
I think Nothingz's advise on studying F4 would be good.
don't question spot since the questions are really limited.
Try to compile the pyp (Q1 to Q7) into 5 categories: Malaysia legal system, contract & tort, agency, employment and company and try to memorize them.
For the last 3Q, contract would not be a problem if you have the knowledge from PYPs (Q1 to Q7)
But company... just do as much as possible LOL
My lecturer says the probability for partnership to come out this sem is really low, but it's unpredictable.
And my lecturer says that sometimes the examiner would throw in some questions which are very unique (require very specific knowledge) or has never come out before but they won't form too much of the marks.
My lecturer also tell us not to question spot and advise us to study the whole syllabus.
If you really want to hold on something one day before the exam, this can be his advice:
Malaysia legal system : Subsidiary legislation
Contract : Consideration, classification of terms.
Employment : Due inquiry, laid off, redundancy (if main stream comes out) but he says something unique will come out on this (right of the employees)
Agency : Duties of agent towards principal
Partnership : If really does come out, he believes will be characteristic
Company : scheme of arrangement, ultra vires, promoter, fraudulent trading, wrongful trading, variation of class rights
However, use it as your own risk LOL

Really can't stand the volume of syllabus of company =='''

F5 is killing me too... The new examiner is a beast!!!

Its probably irrelevant now but imho your study strategy was incorrect. You should've started with company as it constitutes the biggest portion of the syllabus. I don't blame you. Even my own lecturer only started teaching it midway through April, which I find to be very counter productive. You want to be able to get the biggest chunk out of the way first before attempting the smaller parts.

I agree with you about Ann Irons though. She has really changed the structure of the paper. It's a lot more theoretical now and I find that quite discomforting.
*
How many papers are you taking?
Because I started my revision very late.
I only realised how difficult ACCA is until my class test 1 month ago...
Blame it on the changing of FIA's examination to MCQ =='''
Now I just concentrate on F4 & F5 and gave up F6 lol.

I think the most discomforting is that my lecturer skips lot of the syllabus which he think might not come out because they never come out e.g. performance measure of non-profit organisation, market demand and so on.
Really hope like what he said it will not come out... Zz

I'm taking F5/F6. I feel sad for you that your lecturer skipped parts of the syllabus. Regardless of whether it comes out in the exams, lecturers have a duty to teach it. They fail to understand that we're learning not just to pass exams, but to apply it in work in the future. I'm very thankful for the fact that my lecturer covered the entire syllabus thoroughly. He did differentiate topics which were exam important and those which were not, emphasizing on the important parts. Nevertheless he covered the entire syllabus.
*
Taking 2 papers? you working?
Did your lecturer give any tips on F6?? lol
Whatever, even he taught it i don't think i have the time to revise them.
But somehow feel insecure... T.T
IF it really does come out, blame it on my luck. lol

Struggling with planning & operational variance.
Must material price planning variance + material usage planning variance = total material planning variance?
If this is the case then the material price planning variance + material price operational variance =/ the material price variance... ==
