Yes i think
Because when i apply ptptn during cat they put me under diploma
F paper probably equivalent to degree
And when i apply mara ( for P papers) i need to apply under Master
And usually degree student who want to pursue acca still need to take 5 P papers

Thats just what i know, sorry if im wrong

So now CAT can apply for PTPTN d?

Wondering, is :
CAT equivalent to diploma?
And ACCA equivalent to degree?
*
I don't think ACCA is equal to a degree, It is a professional qualification so it doesn't come under any degree, this is what i guess.
By the way if you really wanna get a degree then go for ICAEW after doing ACCA, ICAEW is considered a Degree.

Actually CAT is a diploma, since students who complete it is given 1 year exemption in UK accounting degree. In Malaysia it is not accepted for anything other than moving into ACCA.

ACCA F level is considered equal to a degree since Oxford Brookes University in UK is involved vetting the qualification for Degree. You will get the BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting once you have finished all 9 papers at F level.

The P Level is assessed at Masters level in UK, you can get a Masters by doing a top up after the P level.

Obviously the Malaysian system does not take into account what UK does since our system is way more superior doh.gif and advance rclxub.gif . The Malaysian education framework system hmm.gif has yet to appreciate the academic vigor and requirements of ACCA yet, which lead to no points being awarded.

In this case, ACCA is not recognised for PTPN loans.

Hope that helps

U means acca lower than degree?
After finish F paper just apply OBU already have degree ( just need to submit research)
And i thought ICAEW higher than degree coz my senior take icaew , he from degree scholar
If u finish acca and have working experience for 5 years can apply for Pathway membership to icaew

Seriously this is not true!!!!! Professional is rated higher than a degree for the final level. ICEAW and ACCA is the same - both are professional qualification and not a degree.

If you want a degree also, then do ACCA, since you get both a degree and professional. ICEAW only gets you professional and no degree.

It is possible to only get the Masters in UK, not in Malaysia. Sorry about that.

By the way, anyone interested in F6 (UK) revision - found a very senior ACCA lecturer that is willing to do a 2 day - 16 hours revision for RM350 in Nov 16 and 17. Those interested in this can PM me about it, will co-ordinate with the lecturer. If there is 5 students it is good to go.

Stupid statement~~
do u know any degree holder who graduate from a "qualified accounting or business degree" only gets a maximum of 9 papers exemption for ACCA? if you wanna become a pro in the field u will still need to take 5 papers and 3 years of experience~~

ICAEW is no different than ACCA as it is also a professional qualification...just that the study and working experience requirement is a different from ACCA~~and that it gives the privilege of becoming UK's Chartered Accountant directly after finish the course and the working experience requirement~~~

Do some research before giving such funny statement plz~~

To some people:

Degree > professional qualification
ICAEW is not a professional qualification

Isn't the world a wonderful place with all sorts of people with different beliefs?

Yes I think many people out there have weird belief systems - mostly due to lack of internet research and also lack of industrial exposure.

In this weird world of accountancy, many belief that getting a masters is actually better than getting a professional qualification shakehead.gif

Which is better in law - getting CLP or getting a Masters in Law after you complete your Degree in Law?
