Called Citibank and spoke to CS.

He mention the new customer will rated at 9.9%.. However, for advertised rate ( I asked about installment) , ie 5.54 %pa, is for selected members.

I asked him how I can get 5.54, he said it will depends on the bank and purchasing trend etc.

But why I so attracted to Citibank? -.- Maybe due to their promotion TGV/GSC.

mine is 3.9% pa

bro,

just becuz you get (or try to get a card) with discount offers, doesn't mean you must use it for BT if their BT plan is not good. You will save less this way

if you can find a card with good BT + good discount, that is fine (so far i can't find it blush.gif )

but if you can't, better get a card that specialize in BT and another specialize in discount

The Cash Advance will start charging interest (up to 10.8% p.a.) from the day you get the Cash from your Credit Card.
It's 2% processing fee, not for the time to clear the Cash advance lah doh.gif

bro,

when you withdraw cash from cash advance, on top of the 2% processing fee, the bank immediately charge you interest ranging from 12% to 18% per year (depending which category you are) starting from the withdrawal day

and even if you bt that amount to pbb, normally will have like 10 working days to approve

which means you are paying 12% to 18% per annum for the 10 working days your PBB haven't pay HLB

unless you actually really need advance cash, that is different story

ic, no. I not urgently need money. Just finding what is the best way to get some low interest cash.

since it take 10 days to process, I worry it is not enough time already for this method because the pbbank 0% bt will closed end of this month.

I think apply personal loan is the only way to get cash now sweat.gif

bro,

personal loan? that even worse, their interest higher.

seriously all the method you are proposing here doesn't make sense at all

only way it can make sense is you need cash right now

Are you sure you can direct transfer the credit card money into saving account?
That is not call balance transfer and it should be call cash advance which have higher interest rate.

Some bank did provide this kind of cash transfer through the credit card available credit limit.

For example, Hong Leong call it Balance Transfer Plus, interest from 0.4% per month. Here is the link smile.gif
http://www.hlb.com.my/pfs/cc/ccbt.jsp?flag=ccbt

Hong Leong Balance Transfer
Put all your worries away and start transferring your outstanding balance to your Hong Leong Credit Card to enjoy Greater Savings. To enjoy an incredible low interest rate for up to 1 year, just transfer your outstanding balance from other credit or charge cards to any Hong Leong Credit Card. Or, choose to have the loan amount credited into your savings or current account at Hong Leong Bank or at any other banks via cheque or Inter-Bank Giro

As far as I know, PBB and HLB allows BT without outstanding balance. Anyone know if SCB/Alliance/Bank Islam/BSN allows that?

So far AEON serve me very well for BT. If you are looking for Islamic, why not take Bank Islam?
