if you ever sat in BMW's leather and compare it with Myvi SE's than you will know the difference. BMW with fabric would be weird, wont it? like the 1 series, i find it weird. if the seats hug your body nicely, it would not have the slide effect, which i find this only in continentals. even camry and accord have a lil of that.

I personally think that leather seat is only suitable in a cold-climate country.

This is very useful in cold weather cause the leather will absorb heat and retain the heat from your body when you sit on it. You will feel warm and comfortable.

In malaysia it's a different case. The sun-ray will make the leather so hot until your punggung become panas.Trolololol

not true. try asking most of the leather-seat car owners. unless they use 'fake leather' or pvc or paria grade leather.

Why not true? Same as leather jacket. You have it to warm up your body. I think that is the true purpose of leather.

cause my car has leather seats, and i park outdoor all times (8-12, 1-4), and never once i felt that it was hot. of course it will be warm but not to the exaggeration point of cooking your ass lol. depends on the quality of the leather, and a +1 for luxury as well.

And, if you dont know, for leather sofas, good ones are the ones that do not absorb that much heat. when someone sits there for a long time, it doesn't feel warm after they stand up. all this info from the very owner of DK Schweizer penang, Danny. He drives a bentley.

With good tints, its just slightly warms even in the noon. Still uncomfotable? Open the aircond, the problem gone.

+1 for the luxury feeling. Yes it may be true that i exaggerate a bit on that, but i still think that it serve the purpose of retaining the heat from your body.

that depends on the type of leather used. Good leather has better breathability than other types of leather. Most of the cheap leather seats in cars are made from bycast leather, which is a little bit of leather mixed with PU, hence it traps heat.

sorry dares, cant confirm the date coz even my source cant confirm it. Yup, initially supposed to launch in 1st quater this year, but it had to be postponed. Trust me, they want to launch it coz all prep already done, but due to undisclosed matter, they cant(but not due tech reasons of course)

I don't own cars with high quality leather car seats but I'm using high quality leather slippers (cost me RM200). I can put them on straight away even after leaving it exposed under direct sun for few hours. Not hot, no problem. Valid analogy or not?

hmm, proton shld come out with the option of adding R3 bodykit and Rims to choose from for those who wish to top up to get it when purchase the cars.

so that we don't need to trade-in at loss for those not so good looking rims. and won't void the warranty if any
