well I try the method too....it do become smooth a bit but like for a while only....then started to notice the lagness again.....have to restart the phone occasionally.....even when I try to kill task to free some memory still didnt solve the problem.....

Just finished update my SGW firmware through Kies...Restart after install kies and its just successful...Seems the performance rise a little bit...Less lag....

Custom rom, launcher(I think Go Launcher have this) or flash something something(not very expert in this but I think it can be done, to alter the file in your rom)

Hey, I recently updated my phone into the CM9 w/ ICS. It is perfectly fine and the interface is beautiful. I only have one problem with it, the camera isn't working and I can't even use a 3rd party camera. I downloaded Camera360 but it keeps popping up asking me to enable 'hardware compatibility mode'. It says that I can enable it through Settings but I can't seem to find it. I can't even upload pictures to Instagram since the camera isn't working. This problem is turning to an annoyance right now. Could someone please help me solve this? Thank you.

When they said the camera can't be used, it means the camera in all its meaning is not usable at all.

No driver for the camera so the camera you have is essentially just an ornament at the moment. That's just the usual problem when CM is in their alpha stage.
