Oh wow, V5 already!

Very impressed by Cow's Bionic2 ROM

It was on the Facebook page. This is just the the release candidate.

This is the old ROM by Cowithgun.

We've mostly moved on to his Bionic2 ROM though some still stick with his Slim Shady V2 ROM.

Don't forget that the Wave 3 feels like a premium phone with its superior build quality and materials. SGA was the phone that the SGW replaced anyways.

But overall, the SGA was a very capable phone and could run a modified Flash Player without difficulty.


In my opinion, it's one of the best Gingerbread based ROMs we can get for the SGW. It's tweaked and scripted for maximum performance and it really shows. AnTuTu benchmarks are off the roof with it and real world performance is extremely snappy when coupled with the included Zeam Launcher.

Arco's CM9 alpha too is another good choice since it's the only ICS ROM we have now. Though it's alpha, you can use it on a daily basis if the camera isn't something you use. Much smoother overall as well.

Bionic V2 is wonderful

I've been running 1.8GHz on it stably as well.

Wipe the cache and dalvik cache before flashing via CWM.

What kinds of force close? Are you using the OC ROM?

On data whole day can safely say it's gonna burn the battery quite fast. I barely get more than 7-8 hours if I leave the 3G on.

Can't say for certain, flash back to stock and see if there's any problems?

What the... at that price that unit better have some defects or damage because it's totally not worth it to sell it off at that price. Even the SGA which is over a year old still can fetch about RM400-500.

Afaik, SGS2's pricing really depreciated alot after the release of the Note and GNex. The SGS2 i9100G's pricing would dip faster than the regular i9100 too iinm.

For me, I'm still more partial to Exynos than the TI chipset. Mainly because I'm a sucker for pure performance so why settle for less?

When they said the camera can't be used, it means the camera in all its meaning is not usable at all.

No driver for the camera so the camera you have is essentially just an ornament at the moment. That's just the usual problem when CM is in their alpha stage.

How many apps are you running? Mine only uses an average of 200MB RAM at a time.

Trade in at a shop? Depending on the age and condition best price also maybe around RM450 or so...

Now if I'm trying to sell mine at RM6XX also nobody biting.

Are you using Gingerbread ROM or the ICS ROM?
