e-jump: No, the apodization filter is like a ND filter, on the sides.

The STF at F2.8/T4.5 gathers the same amount of light as the Zeiss 135mm F1.8 at F4.5.
The STF at F2.8/T4.5 has the same depth of field as the Zeiss 135mm F1.8 at F2.8.

Wah, is it cosplay everyday there?

Guys I have a question.

Lets say you have a receiver with a base like this and a light stand like this. How do you connect the flash trigger to the light stand? If you say you use this, how to connect the trigger to the holder? Help please.  icon_question.gif
*
just use them. the bottom of the trigger is like normal hotshoe shape, the braket can clamp it with no problem.

daytime, shooting at iso1600, (turning off NR) will give u sharp photo like iso400 at night. turning off the NR (or to low) so the engine wont "artificially softening and sharpening" causing worst IQ, since with sufficient light, noise dont really appear.
(was force to shoot bird at iso1600 coz i need 1/1000 to freeze the water splash when they dive to catch fish~, and there is when i found out the use of "off/lo NR" option in the menu)

and noise even appear at iso100 in shadow area.

Ok... for those who are a bit lazy to watch video (like me) here's a general way to light up the pic like in the quote:

1. You need a 3-light set up.
2. One main light on one side of subject.
3. One fill light on the opposite side of main light.
4. One light to blast at the background (which is a white seamless surface).

Adjust the above to your liking. Diffuse to taste.

Then you meter for the face and the overexpose a little to get the high key look.

That's it! biggrin.gif

tips:
using 2 light to black the back is better then 1.

the 2 light blasting the back will naturally create a rimlight around ur subject.

so u dont really need a fill light for opposite side, just use one main light to shape the desire shadow.
