I have seen some good blanks being sold at Kepong for RM80~100...

If the blank is RM100, all in all should be around Rm250, but the rod have your body fitting measurement lo

Fuji does not carry titanium guides

Fuji carries SiC....

I have one rod with titanium guide...

1. Ability to cast
2. Lure presentation(if bait tak payah presentation but more to combination of taste that suits the fish)
3. Patience...patience...patience...

Also need not any weight or sinker, as the weight of the bread you should be casting to the middle of the pond liao

Casting meaning throwing the bait/lure out at the designated target/zone.

you will get your 1st level poison when you join us for casting session. Then you wanna try to manipulate the lure using the similar techniques....then you start buying lures...then reel...then upgrade your setup...then you need a box to contain the numerous lure that you have bought....

Strongly suggest that you and Sis Bling so steady and cruising with angling. Dont venture too fast or too much.. It's the same i shared with bro VW too.

Go fresh water...maybe paypond, maybe wild areas(just follow our weekend outing - you'll enjoy the serenity and communicating with mother nature)

One a while, go for slightly extreme, follow us to Air Ganda or Banding...(the cost per pax for the whole 2d1n trip is about RM200 - incl of boat, makan, tidur, toll and petrol)

Then when you are comfortable with fishing and having intention to venture into seafishing, go for 1 day trip..somethere nearby...do alittle casting, jigging or popping

From the phases i mentioned above, you are moving slowly from newbie to extreme angler.. from the seafishing, you should know where you want to head forward to....

As for me...i'm both salty and fresh fishing...

I got some rods and reels which i would like to dispose it cheaply.... you can pop by one day and see one by one by yourself

I'm estimating the rods will not be more than RM50~60 per piece except for few higher end ones(the rods are higher end rods, but i dont use them anymore). Then the reel, you can grab from tackle shop cheaply as well. The whole setup would cost you about RM100 as well

Spinning reel, go for Abu 803 or 804...good for light jigging, casting and super smooth...

If you're going for deeper water then you may need 806

I once bought a key chain lure at RM5.....then one day, i backside itchy i put hooks and fish with it...the lure becomes the my top arsenal...it works like charm when the rest of the lure dont work..

Now it's filled with scars and battle punctures...

Cheap stuffs works too.. I dont particularly selective on brands or price... i see it from the usage angle..
