Is it confirmed that there's gonna be SEA and US servers like in SC2 or everything is still just tentative and speculations?

That was when Blizzard North made Diablo 2, but now most of the key design team has already resigned/moved on to a new companies.

Most of the dev team for Diablo 3 are the same people who made World of Warcraft, and if you played the mmo, you will know what I am talking about.  brows.gif

Melee classes have more polish than ranged classes.

and forever needs to be online to play biggrin.gif

P/S: Having said that, I never owned/played SC2, so help me to clarify this. In order to play single player, do we need to login to .bnet first? Or there's an offline mode for single player, traditionally? If need to, then will D3 uses the same system? Because SC2 has been sparrowfied. We all know we can never kill hackers, but will this boils down to the solution for piracy prevention? Thanks in advance.

There is an offline mode for SC2 single player, but you can only "access" it after first logging in to Bnet in previous gaming sessions.

Yeah, that's what I thought to. But months ago, I read that we need to access into battle.net account first in order to launch the client? Like some sort of a verification/authentication that we, a legit owner of D3 in order for us to play? I may be wrong.

There is no offline single player. Not like SC2 where you need to be online for authentication only.

The reason is that the server needs to do generate the map, mobs and special events for you. Just like normal MMORPG. You need to be constantly connected. Combat calculations are done on client side and reconfirmed with the server, this is why we will not notice any battle lag, unlike most online games.

However you have a choice to play online solo or play online with friends/random ppl.

Battle.net Authenticators have been enabled for the Diablo III beta test. If a Battle.net Authenticator is attached to your Battle.net account, you will be required to enter an authentication key to log in.

I'm not really sure how to active this
