QUOTE(Blizzard) We’re in the process of updating the regional section of the Auction House FAQ with the below changes to the home region that South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand will be connecting to for Diablo III. If I live in Australia/New Zealand/Southeast Asia, what server will I play Diablo III on? Diablo III players in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia will, by default, connect to the Americas region. By connecting to this region, players will have a wider pool of people to play with and access to a more vibrant and active auction house marketplace. Further details on regional connection options and auction house functionality will be posted at www.diablo3.com prior to release. How does this impact the items I have purchased in the auction house? Auction house purchases are bound to the servers in the region in which they're bought. Any items acquired on game servers in the Americas region are bound to those servers and are not transferrable to the servers in Europe or Asia (and vice versa). Please keep this in mind when making purchases in the auction house. We’ll release more details on the auction house functionality prior to the game’s release. Please note that as these updates suggest, there will be some options with regard to the regions. We’ll be providing further information on those options, and answering any questions you may have on this change to your Diablo III home region as we get closer to release. I will play barbarian in D3, as the class really looks solid in PVE and PVP, and knowing blizzard's history of making melee classes more OP than ranged classes, cough, world of warcraft, cough

QUOTE(ZeratoS @ Mar 19 2012, 10:02 AM) That was when Blizzard North made Diablo 2, but now most of the key design team has already resigned/moved on to a new companies. Most of the dev team for Diablo 3 are the same people who made World of Warcraft, and if you played the mmo, you will know what I am talking about. Melee classes have more polish than ranged classes. This post has been edited by gaeria84: Mar 19 2012, 10:23 AM |

QUOTE(khelben @ Mar 21 2012, 11:58 AM) Killing the butcher was damn easy as a Rogue. Just stay behind those fence grill thing, and shoot lol. Lucky you. I was playing a warrior and I had to play hit-and-run tactics, running circles around the room. But towards the end, I was able to solo Diablo without any health potions at all. WIN. Why don't they allow us to choose our gateway? Like D2, we can choose between East US, West US, Europe and Asia

So all will connect to US servers then? Wonder what happens if a TM undersea cable breaks down for a month?

QUOTE(ChcGamer @ Mar 30 2012, 02:10 AM) You're very wrong on this IMO. Asians have much much higher spending power in online games Doesn't really prove that asians have higher spending power. It just proves they're more willing to part with the cash to buy ingame items. Angmo are the smart users who are used to Blizzard's P2P model. They will work hard to get their items Asians on the other hand are sore losers who can't accept defeat and will pay to get items just to win (Asians are willing to pay RM20k just for a sword in a certain local MMORPG game and this is not a rare case) So, the thing now is we know there are people who import US version to be sold here. So if i play US version i can't sell my items through RMAH to Asians using SEA version. Am i right on this? Eg, i picked up a Sword of 1k Truth and put it up in RMAH. Angmo will see it then go figure/research where does this drop and go farm themselves. Asians on the other hand will click "BUYOUT" without much consideration lol |

QUOTE(wilsonjay @ Apr 5 2012, 02:19 PM) QUOTE The biggest change to Diablo III attributes is their change to an automatically-allocated system. Players can not set their skill points, and instead gain 1 or 2 points in the four attributes with every level up. The Diablo III developers felt the stat allocation in Diablo II was a poor way to provide character customization since players either experimented and "ruined' their character with sub-optimal choices, or else followed a cookie cutter style of build. No more DEX barbs |
