What's with the China farmers?
*
Apparently, i was informed that Blizzard wanted to lockout China farmers from US servers through the region RMAH but some smart aleck who do unofficial bulk parallel imports(high chances from Johor in the case of Malaysia) bring in US version(and yea those are most likely the RM175 D3 you guys could be getting)

China farmers will most likely infest the US servers real soon too. Soon they will take over D3 RMAH cause of all these parallel imports

Doesn't really prove that asians have higher spending power. It just proves they're more willing to part with the cash to buy ingame items.  tongue.gif

They do have higher spending power in online game due to their culture

Asians are so used to playing F2P games with micro-transaction compared to Western culture who have just adopted this system not too long ago

yeah i also think this is a more reasonable claim doh.gif

But Chcgamer may be right as well, that it's a different culture basically.

Although there is always a risk that it's generalizing too much just cause your Asian or Western you will behave the same every single time which is not necessarily true doh.gif

Though admittedly there is more tendencies in certain regions. If i'm not mistaken,

it is not confirm yet but i might have 1 extra CE for sell. reason is because i pre-ordered from 2 suppliers. so anyone is interested in buying the CE from me?

if you have no luck in trying to find retailer that sell CE anymore, drop me a pm as a note to myself that you're interested and once my suppliers confirmed the stock allocation for me, i'll reply you immediately.

both suppliers also (verbally) confirm that i'm getting it as i paid deposit for both and also queued quite in front of the list (i pre-ordered once they start collecting order dude), but i cannot guarantee you la, in case last min one say out of stock.

you're to be sure that this pm you made to me does not guarantee you a CE lol. i will only sell to you if i get both set in hand. it will also do you no harm as most of the retailers will have alot of stock for standard edition, if you cant get mine, you still can get a standard edition.

if you agree to it, then drop me a pm biggrin.gif

Yup this is true, but doing parallel import doesn't mean these farmers will automatically get access to the US RMAH. Their B.Net account has to be US address to be able to use. So unless they figure this out, they will not be able to use the US RMAH.

Seeing that, alot of these farmers don't really understand or read English. This will be an obstacle for them.

Much like their culture where they have little regard for anything (confirmed by a friend from China, lulz) they WILL find a way to get into the US RMAH.

Never underestimate how far a chinese national will go just to earn $$$.

I got this special request for them who have access to beta. Is it possible for you guys to run something like a data transfer test say for a a fixed amount of play time?

The reason is that I am using streamyx 1mb plan and it is unstable as the platonic plate in hell so I might have to opt for a prepaid broadband service as a back up. It will be great if I can know the exact number of data transfered during each session to decide on the best package available in the market. Example: xxx mb of data over a period of 1 hour.

Thanks in advance ya! biggrin.gif

Eh? I thought you can access US RMAH as long as your copy of Diablo 3 is US version?

It has nothing to do with Bnet address right?

Ah that is a misconception. No, the version of the client does not matter. Its your B.net Acc that distinguish which home region you play in. For us SEA, Blizzard has already say we are bound to the US region as our home region.
So, if you can get your hands on a Chinese D3 client and your B.net account is SEA/US then you can use the US RMAH.

As for why got so many different price, if the game client doesn't matter, that you will have to ask Activision and the local distributors. They want to make more money smile.gif If I were you I would get the cheapest version of the game.

I've been reading at quite a lot of places it mention that RMAH is depending on which version you buy.

Really need Blizzard to give everyone an update on this. So many of us are like blur and confused now due to insufficient news from Blizzard side

Come to think of it, i think buying a copy of Diablo 3 from europe might be safest choice, in case chinese gamers flood the US RMAH.

I need to wait 2 bloody weeks for the game though. doh.gif

Feel like getting D2+expansion too.

Hopefully i can get it for $1 to $2 next week. One of the retail chains in Australia is closing down, so they are selling all their old games at really low prices.
