Thank you for the reply bro!!
Can white tank be a alternative choice for grooming? And does white fiber tank really make it fully cross?
It it a must to keep it until
For lighting, should i use both white colour, or 1 white and 1 yellow?
Or can I use 1 White T5, and a LED?

Btw, im feeding it Mw and Sw (sliced) at the moment.. should i force it to eat pallets? (Abit torturing..)
Can i replace MP with live shrimps?
(The small shrimp they usually sell like feederfish)
*
You need all 4 walls to be white with low water level to groom the arowana.

White T5 or LED are perfect choice. As for yellow lighting, it just make the Aro look more golden. I don't use yellow lighting cause you are cheating your self to believe your Arowana look good.

Try avoid mw or sw it might cause drop eye due to high fat but very good in building body mass

Try avoid live food like feeder fish. It bring deceases to your Arowana.

So, best try to train your Arowana feed on pallet or MP.

Young arowana very easy train. Just throw in the food everyday. Pick up uneaten food. Repeat everyday just a matter of time he will eat them. Good Luck.

Starting try OF ARG1 due to pallet size small.

Later gro. bigger give Hikari Food Stick.

Price ARG1 1kg around RM55, Hikari 250gm around RM40+

Hi all.. Little update on my aro that is claimed as MGXB BB.. Its about 5inch now, im begining to suspect that i got con..

Anyone can proove me wrong..? I really expect that this is a XB.

Btw, It has chip and certificate.

There is always risk in buying small size arowana and it is too early to tell the quality of your Arowana at this size.

In order to bring out the best of the small arowana it depend on your grooming technique is it correct.

After all you done...arowana grow up to be other type then you know you are being con. If arowana grow up not met your expectation it might be due to your grooming technique or the arowana grade.

Good Luck

Don't have a permit, but have some good connection to let it in smile.gif.

I saw the little arowana back there in indo, red & gold color. Price below 50 for small one. Maybe next time i buy 1 or 2.
*
Do share with us your new buy if you do able to bring back the Aro from Indo. Thanks

There seemed to be some "golden" shine appearing on its head. Does it mean that it is a Golden head or a crossback?
*Pic was taken while it is eating (MP trained)
*
Shine only at 4.5 without chu...still cannot say its a cross back or even golden head.

Wait till it reached min 8 inches then we can tell your Arowana quality.

oh so i see you have a bogwood in the tank. the leech from the bogwood is reducing your pH level. Or else there shouldn't been any need for coral chips.

in this case, the bogwood will wore out pretty quickly, due to continuous leeching of tannis, while coral chips is pulling the pH and kH up, in directly affecting the durability of the bogwood.

nice tank setup by the way..  rclxms.gif
but wouldn't it be better if remove the coral chips? and let the bogwood turn the water into blackwater?

since arowana, tiger fish naturally dwell in blackwater river
*
The driftwood just newly added...

So far PH stable at 7.0 to 7.2

switched my aro to new tank..but my aro ended with a half broken tail..will it grow back ?
*
No worry it will grow back like new in 2 to 3 months. Just maintain good water quality. Add abit of Melafix to speed up the healing with everytime water change.
