QUOTE(Taylornex @ Aug 6 2014, 05:35 PM) Hi Everyone, Usually good quality Aro they export. Quality normal. 1.2K can get better one. 24K gold is just name to differential from other golden Aro actually is the same. I'm a newbie and wish to learn more from taikor taicher here on how to care of Aro. Have been wanting to be a proud Aro owner like u guys.. Wish to learn : - wanted to buy a decent/good quality Aro with reasonable price. - I have recently been to Oriental aquatics at Sg buloh, Kin Fatt at Kepong and Yek Fong at sg buloh. - Oriental is selling 24k gold Aro size about 6 inches at 1.2k. Is this reasonable? Most importantly, is the fish quality there good? - is 24k gold Aro a decent quality breed? - chat with some ppl earlier the biggest concern I have now is bad fish quality (heard some worrying comment like be careful with some shop where the colour of Aro changes aft 1-2 months aft u bought / brought home - kinda like fake / mixed breed, not pure breed). Can help to share some experience on where can I get a decent Aro where quality is good and price is reasonable? Is Oriental ok? Anyone has experience with Oriental? Thanks a lot in advance. Purchasing Aro, I never go to LFS or those that do exporting. Due to the low / rejected quality they are selling. If you need reliable seller contact, you can PM me for info. Don't rush in getting a Aro. Every Aro is beautiful. So just go look around and see the different of the Aro they are selling. Some sell cheap & some sell expensive. Do comparison to find out why. If you plan for long term keeping Aro. First thing, you need to do is invest in good quality aquarium tank & filter media. Learn how to maintain a good water parameter & the water will take care your fishes in the tank. After all the above, then you can plan to purchase your Aro. Get a bigger size Aro around 10" above. Small size Aro is cheap but you can't really see or know the quality you are getting. Small size Aro is more suitable to be kept in fiberglass tank till it reach above 10". To avoid drop eye. Aquarium tank is one of the factor in Aro drop eye. From my experience in keeping Aro & other tank mate. Maintaining good water parameter is the most challenging task. Finding good quality Aro cannot be rush you just need time & patience to survey around. |

QUOTE(Taylornex @ Aug 10 2014, 10:01 PM) Sorry guys, new to the forum. Guess I have pressed the wrong reply button. Invest in good filter media & fully cycle the water first. Fastest 3 weeks. Then only bring ur Aro home.Hi Jules, Thanks a lot for the sharing.. That's quite a number of steps to be taken.. But I was too excited when the aquarium arrived at my house on Sat morning and I have already filled it up with water (as the seller said he has already cleaned up the aquarium). On the same day I have put 2 small Lampang into the aquarium and so far they are ok / actively swimming in the aquarium. I'll only be collecting my Aro Trow. I'll take pic and try to upload here (never uploaded any pic before / hope I know how to upload hehe). I'm very very excited to be a proud owner of Aro finally... Hehe... Look forward to gain more insights from all the sifu here on how to best take care of Aro on water quality, feeding, what's best for Aro colour and etc.. If not u will face water problem later. |
