Last time I checked, we beat Singapore and some others right? From the picture above they're nowhere close :]. Average gold of 10.5? Well done Malaysia!! I'll do some racing in rounds 7 and 8 NOW. No. 17 is it India? So few gold altogether but average quite high. Try to catch up with Taiwan...........

My best for 8-4 is still off. This time I'm more upset because I cut down until 0:00:081. I swear to God I nearly kneel in front of the TV. I even tried setting the ABS and Traction Control parameters. I tried so many hours. Almost 2 hours++. I'm going to bed.

Gold 8-5 yesterday  thumbup.gif  using DS3 Finally 40-golds.

This time I leave everything default. TC=7
ABS=1
DS3 Steering=7
I'm the old-school kind, using X and square. Not L2/R2.

My non-alien tips, just sharing:
- Use driving aid : driving line = on
- Power down the straight. Brake accordingly in straight line only and once release, turn right sharply. Release turning. Throttle control (tap and release, then tap longer and release, then press and hold). You need to practise on different corners whether to do 1-3x tap-and-release). Remember, no skid/drift with red-tyres.
- 2nd corner, turn right, I brake slightly earlier, then turn and the car will slide (without red-tyres) and you can throttle.
- On that S-corner. Release throttle/tap brake then power again.
- Last 2-corner on S, I brake early, again turn right and full throttle control and turn left back to the straight.
- Follow braking line again for the sharp ^ turn. Throttle control again to get out from corner apex. Find your own apex, I didn't really use the driving line apex.
- Accelerate full on the right turn, until the short-straight.
- This one I do late brake. Then release brake, sharp turn left. Tyre skid (no red), Throttle control left and I'm on left side. Just nice...
- For the next right-corner, tap brake. Again, throttle full out from apex, towards the left side, use kerb slightly, don't hit cone.
- Power down the short straight, keep right. This time also late brake, but slightly only. Brake in straight line, it stop faster.
- Release brake, sharp turn left, no throttle.
- Once line in sight, full throttle control again to get out from corner. I did not use the inner kerb / apex.
- 2nd last straight, I also late brake very slightly into the corner. Skid a bit (no red).
- Power out from last corner, again, throttle control. No red. This is important, as I manage to cut 0.5 seconds if power out correctly without the car swing left/right.

If throttle control done well, every corner can cut 0.1-0.3 seconds. I manage to do it in 1:35.3x in my other account. This account is 1:35.9x
Gold need 1:36.000
JYLee really alien  shakehead.gif  Last night his record improved to 1:32.x  blink.gif
2nd is 1.34.x
I'm 1.35.9
Yeah. Saw your name in SG PSN 1.35.x  tongue.gif
Agree, throttle control without skid/drift or red-tyres is very important.

thanks for sharing tongue.gif

Non-alien tips for latest TT
- Sarthe 700pp
- Grand Valley 600pp

For n00b, use Chaparral 2J, tune down to 600pp (trans at 300km/h) and my max at 684pp (trans at 380km/h)
TC=1 (put higher if can't control car slide)

Can win by 20-30 seconds.

Alright all gold for GT Academy rounds 7 and 8. Job done and job well done for all gold club!! Keep trying for those who are working on it :]. Ya all quite easy except for 8-5 time trial. Nice to have a challenge, I had to retry almost 20 times. The 370Z really have a happy/leading rear end, I think it's faster to do some controlled sliding for the low speed tight corners. I drove with traction control off, everything else off except ABS at 1 to prevent brake lock up during full braking. I believe it's faster if you can control it, all about throttle control out of corners. F1 cars since 2009 don't have both traction control and ABS which really shows the drivers' skills, they're extremely challenging to drive..... My time is 1:35.782, I could go a bit faster maybe but don't feel the need, happy enough to get the gold trophy. How do we claim the prizes? Wait until it ends??

I personally like the all electric car Nissan Leaf, Nissan launched it recently along with a pilot program, but our people still can't buy it yet, I wonder when..................

ya the 8-5 round is tricky, u need to get the braking point rite so can enter the corner faster. playing with ds3 even harder since can't really maintain the throttle

our fren zerigemok did it in 1.31, fantastic quick time biggrin.gif

i golded round 8-5. then i retry trying to beat my old time, i gave up after crossing the line.

That resulting me losing my earlier Gold, ended up as Silver sad.gif

I had to retry to get Gold again. Lucky manage to get it.

Personally i think round 8-5 is easy to get gold but very hard to get faster time than 1:34 and by using DS3 couldn't really help either. Steering wheel should able to shed another 1-2 sec. Finding the best braking point and by preventing wheel spin when exiting corner is the key to this round. The happy tail of the fairlady really need more concentration to handle.

Round 8-4 is very hard in my opinion; really cant pass the most front car. mad.gif Tried many many times still cant. rclxub.gif

for round 8-4, hmm the main point is the 1st S corner.. instead of braking hard.. just let go acceleration...
Hmmm slipstream works too
