QUOTE(name saya bainun @ Mar 9 2012, 06:11 PM) i just start with this game, only have civic ek now. Grinding is too slow...no cheat code ah for this game? If you want, add me. I'll give you a Level 24 ticket. Then you backup savegame into USB, and grind for a FGT (Not F2007 or F2010). That FGT worth 5M and is very useful for open race/grinding.If get wrong car, quit and restore savegame. It's kind of cheating, but well, it helps a lot and save time since it is a very fast car. Sorry, didn't join online recent days, busy with real-life ... This week should be ok. |

The Lotus Elise is a good car, if you can control the throttle and steer/counter-steer well. I did it at Special - Top Gear Test Track test with TC=1. It slides like crazy, but it is very fast.

The Diary for 24-hours Le Mans racing (Sarthe)
by cute_boboi Wake up on Sat morning. Feel very free last weekend. Suddenly have the urge for long-range gaming. Hmm... why not the 24-hours A-Spec at Sarthe, since it has been on my mind for quite some time. With the long straights, I guess should not be that taxing as compare to 4-hours Nurb. 9 hours Mazda is easier than 4-hours Nurb, just that it take longer hours, and I've already done it last year. 10:00am Boot up PS3 and went into GT5. Thinking to use FGT, X-2010 or some other LM cars like Minolta, Audi R8 LM, etc. If FGT, will race in the dark, can I cope it ? ah... what the heck, let's go with FGT. Tune it to be more manageable, full power 927hp? Why ? Coz I don't think I can give 100% for all 24-hours and may need some assists. TC=5 Driving line=On (Otherwise how do I drive in complete pitch black at night ? Active Steering=Off ASM=On ABS=1 Controller Sensitivity=7 Max speed 380km. I should have set it to 420. 10:30am (00:00 racing hours) Start race and off I go into distance. Using racing soft both front and back. I need to start lapping and cut some corners Best lap 2:59, then down to 2:57 Tires last about 5-6 laps, before it worn out with <40% left and start sliding when powering in/out of corners. 01:30pm (03:00 hours) Nothing fancy so far. Been pitting and lapping non stop. I was lucky as it was a sunny day with minimal clouds and blue sky. The sun is setting and I can feel it gets slightly less light. I was ahead by +8 laps. Eat my lunch (tapao economy-mee earlier in the morning) with one hand and the other pressing the X button on back-straight (Mulsanne). Yes, one lap, one mouthful Pausing the game is not a choice, if were to finish it in two days For the need to goto pee, drink water or get some snacks, etc. The only choice is do it once every 20-25 minutes during pit lane, which takes roughly 1 minute to refuel. Yes, it's that serious not to pause it. If come back few seconds late, the car will be out in the track, into the gravel. 03:30pm (05:00 hours) The GT5 sky is really getting dim. Twilight as they say it. Road is starting to get barely visible. Remember, my FGT doesn't have headlights or DRL By now, I'm about +14 laps ahead, with best lap down to 2:56. Average each lap about 2:58-3:10 04:00pm (05:30 hours) Darkness fell, and it is complete dark. Only few streetlights available at specific corners along the entire track. It helps a lot (really), to guide me on the centre line. I am constantly driving following the blue line (driving line aid). My lap times drop to 3:00-3:30 My guess was night time (pure darkness) will be at least 6-8 hours, during the summer of Le Mans, minus the dawn and dusk of 1 hour each with some twilight lights. Also, 4pm was the start of the Sepang 2012 F1 time trial, so I suspend the race for 1 hour. 05:00pm (05:30 hours) After an hour rest, resume back racing. 07:00pm (07:30 hours) Got used to the pure darkness. Those who say why I am racing with a black screen with stats will think I am crazy. Basically it is just a dotted blue line and red braking lines for many hours. I manage to get under 3 minutes lap as well as improve and average lap of 2:57-3:15 Since I am leading by 22+ laps, decided to take a break, go for quick bath and quick dinner. Park my car at the track side, pull handbrake. 07:30pm (08:00 hours) Back from break. My lead is down to 16 laps. My assumption is near correct. The fastest opponent is about 4 min per lap. ~8 laps = ~28 minutes. Continue racing in the dark Still on RS/RS at 5-6 laps before pit. 11:45pm (12:15 hours) Enough of driving in black after ... 6.5 hours in the dark. Park my car on the track side again. Pull handbrake to avoid rollaway. My lead is back to 24 laps (rebuild from 16 laps). Also, so far I'm lucky as not a single drop of rain yet. 12:30am (13:00 hours) Come to check, I missed the morning sunrise Ok, that's it after 13 hours of racing for Saturday. Actually just 11.5 hours of driving and 1.5 hours of parking Suspend the race again. Sunday - yeah woohoo ... 11:00am (13:00 hours) Resume race again after a good minimal sleep. Racing not under darkness, I began to push the car again. Also to build enough lead again. Manage to nail several consecutive best lap in the upcoming several hours. 2:55 2:54 2:52 2:51 2:49 Lap times were good, averaging 2:50-3:05 with near full concentration. Also, I change to front RS / RH rear, to try to minimize tyre wear using harder rubber. Seems like I can stay on track longer by 1-2 laps before pitting. Now I pit in 6-7 laps and I can pull the lead further ... faster. 04:00pm (18:00 hours) Nothing fancy until now, except trying to improve best lap and building lead. Still has stamina of 80% F1 2012 at Sepang is starting, but due to rain, I was still racing. Then F1 race red-flag, so I keep on pushing my FGT on behalf for F1 team. 05:15pm (19:15 hours) F1 race re-start. Woohoo... park at trackside again, with a lead of 28 laps again. My estimate is 28 laps x 4 minutes = 112 minutes, roughly under two hours and I can last until 7pm and chase back if needed. 06:49pm (20:45 hours) Congrats Alonso. Pity M.Schumacher. Back to GT5. My lead drop to +2 laps only Time to put in more fast laps. Believe it or not, I am still good enough to put in fast laps. It starts to drop again: 2:49 2:48 Then it happen on lap 311 2:46.791 No bath. No dinner. 08:45pm (22:45 hours) Finally, the first drop of rain when I'm on Mulsanne straights !!! What a lucky racing, after nearly 23 hours of dry racing. 09:00pm (23:00 hours) Yeah, final hour. Countdown begins. I have clocked 372 laps so far, with +8 lap lead. Finally remember to take some pics, and here it is. See how dirty (sandy) the car after I run into the gravel-runoff area. Also the blackness at the front, side-pods and rear-wings. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « * If you notice, the clock and countdown does not tally. Don't ask me why, you try race endurance and tell me. In actual fact, I race >24 hours. It is more like 25 hours of racing based on my wall clock. 09:40pm (23:40 hours) Since lead by +8 laps , decided to park again and take bath. 8 x 4 minutes = 32 minutes. Even if 8 x 3.5 minutes = 28 minutes. Rain starting to pour and wetness indicator is rising fast to 20%+ Also, the engine-oil red-light on my dashboard begins to light up already. 09:50pm (23:50 hours) Come back and lead drop slowly to 4, 3, 2 ... I'm still parking before the pit lane entrance (before Ford Chicanes) with a total of 380 laps. Track going to flood soon, as indicator rise to 60%+ 10:00pm (24:00 hours) *DING* Finally, I cruise across the finish line with 381 laps in my pocket and the rival at 2 laps behind. Pic was taken with shaky hands after holding DS3 controller for 11 hours today. Track wetness already reach >75% » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « All in all, it was super time consuming. Not that tired as compared to 4 hours Nurb, which need 100% concentration. Sarthe has a lot of long straights and the track is wider. Hand, fingers and palm muscles are tired and feel like spasm. Eyes are tiring and started see double-image. Used up 2 fully-charged DS3. All in all of the ~25 hours racing time over two-days, I actually race for 20.5 hours only. The remaining 3.5 hours are parked at track side due to the lead I build up, which I roughly count at about 50 laps. I notice the race-clock is slightly slower, as stated, I think the total race time is more towards 24-25 hours. Was it worth it ? (i) Credit wise, not worth it at 200% = 1,588,000 = 66,166 / hour = 1,102.77 / minute » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « (ii) XP wise at 200% = 13,781,100 = 574,213 / hour = 9,570.21 / minute To reach from level 39 to 40, you only need about half of it at 7,576,732 XP » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « (iii) Free car ticket for R8 Race Car (Audi Playstation Team ORECA) '05 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « (iv) Reach A-spec level 40 and a PS3 GT5 silver trophy as well, for Excellent Driver Will I do it again ? Yes, for the final 24-hour Nurb, which I estimate will be 2.5-3 days instead of 2 days. In the meantime, will take a long break from real endurance racing |

QUOTE(evoHahn @ Mar 27 2012, 10:18 PM) FGT out, can't tune below 740pp anyway. 2J also out -> the vacuum cleaner QUOTE(evoHahn @ Mar 28 2012, 11:53 AM) Yeah, going to pull out the R8 (Oreca, Playstation, plain-jane)Last weekend just finish "practise" 381 laps at Sarthe x 13.629km = 5,192 km I guess need at least 2x pitstop. For FGT at full-throttle, full-tank can last about 7-9 laps, but even before that, tyre wear out already. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ May 2 2012, 03:16 PM) i noticed many of the gt5 racers here never share their bob for remote races, pls share now i like to watch bob's race rather than driving myself lol My old batch of drivers are deteriorating 20% already. My new batch of drivers, only 10+ race experience, but level ~35+. Still not good enough on braking & cornering. The new bobs run wide into gravel at Spa. With my older batch of bob (100+ races), it holds the line well and use kerbs aggressively. Grinding them on latest Cote d'Azur now to practise braking & corner. Later lah, I try to share my bob. Recently busy with holiday and work, no time join online. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ May 2 2012, 03:35 PM) ya la. Ternak bobs, don't need 250 million I not yet try online Bob racing. Just offline b-spec. Quite fun to push them to overtake on fair races (FGT at Expert? level got 6x championship races, need many hours) The online b-spec >600pp also fun for short 15-20 minutes races. It's like Ross Brawn asking M.Schumacher to go faster, then he slides off course |

Bank balance always maintain 15-19 mil I notice Bob got slight difference (at same mood level) even between level 38 vs 39 (or any other level). When pushed to max, a clean fastest 1-lap can have time difference of 100-300ms. Not sure my lembu bob level 35-36 is good enough or not |
