Selfcare? You mean their (TMnet) website online services. I have tried before but there isn't anything that will show me my Streamyx usage record.

Telling them is one thing, whether they will listen or not is another thing sad.gif .

About the matter on usage, what I meant was there is no button where I can click that will show my usage record.

I can only check my application status which gives only basic information about my application. Nothing further apart from that.

Probably they only allow you to check your account usage when you log in using Streamyx. What an irony because I can't use the Streamyx account in the first place.

Update on my problem

I was right all along.

After making official complaint/report at Tmpoint on Monday, and after so many calls to thier 1300 in the past week, I got edgy again and called their 1300 this morning for an update to my problem.

As usual they insist jumper already done, and keep suggesting I call their contractors to check on my installation (meaning want to force me to pay Installation fees). I refused and insisted I know they are forcing me to pay installation fees and I flatly said that I know the problem is not on my side. I told if not fixed within another week then I will insist on cancelling my account even when they say I can't cancel.

An hour later when I was surfing the internet using my Jaring Dial-up, the connection suddenly went dead. Not even a normal phone dial tone. Then miraculously I heard my doorbell ring and two TM guys/ or Contractors (not sure) on motorbike asked me if I reported a problem with my phone line.

I suspect they purposely made my line went dead so that they can make one last attempt to say my streamyx problem is because of my internal problem and pretend to fix it and ask me sign form for installation.

So I told them the problem is not the phone line wiring in my house and did not let them in. After that they gave up and drove away. After five minutes, I got a call from them to check my modem, and when I did, 'lo and behold' I nearly jumped out of my skin. The DSL light finally appeared. Eureka! They must have finally done some jumpering at the Telekom 'Box' outside the main road near my Taman or asked their contact at Tm to fix the jumpering there.

But whetever it is, right now I am online using Streamyx and so far so good.

Yes, just like I told you before the Modem won't have any DSL light if not jumpered for Streamyx yet.

These are the steps you have to take :-

1) After application online, wait for few days and then call their 1300 line and ask them to confirm if jumper already done.

2) If they say yes, then test your line by connecting your modem straight to phone jack without the handset (no need to connect to computer yet). Power on the modem and wait a while for the blinking signal. After blinking for a while, the Signal will stabilise and will remain always on.

If completely no signal at all after waiting (not even blinking one) , then you are like my case. Those people didn't jumper yet but want to cheat you by saying already done.

3) If signal is stable, then you can start setting up your computer and connecting the ethernet cable. Also set up your user name and password etc in your modem. You can't connect to internet yet if your account not activated yet.

4) Now you can also connect your splitter/microfilter and your handset between the wall socket and your modem.

5) Finally if you are satisfied all is well, call their 1300 activation centre to activate your account (if you don't their system will auto activate after 7 days without your permission).

6) Once activated, and if your modem login to Streamyx server to browse internet, your PPP light will also light up.

Finally I am able to connect to Streamyx. The trick is you NEVER call TMNET 1300889515 if it is related to the line problem.

I called my nearest Telekom's Technical Department yesterday and told them the problem. They also checked and said the jumper was set since the registration date. They came over to my place and check the line today. And finally the DSL signal goes on after they fix something at the telephone port outside my apartment. They do not charge me on it.

So, pls don't waste time & money to call 1600889515 on the line/DSL signal issue. The nearest Telekom's Technical Department is the one that can help you.
