do we need to top up the distilled water to the battery? or is it maintenance free?I saw like the holes for topping up the water is underneath the warranty sticker...

Just replace it when it starts to get wonky 2-3 years later.

I decided to but saga flx.. Can I know more detail about this statement :

To all current/Future FLX owners, Please take your car back to COE to have the CVT system updated.

This is regarding the CVT overheat issue that affects early batches of the FLX CVT variants that caused several owners to either be stranded roadside or the car going into safe mode.

Later batches should have the issue rectified in the production line.

If you are in doubt, enquire at the SC to see whether it is necessary for your car to undergo the update, which should be done FOC.

Later batches starting from when..? Is this the right time to buy new car..? Hoping it will be new batch without prob..

The ones with the CVT issue were produced prior to September 2011 I think.

Havent heard any problems with the CVT from owners of later batches, since it is supposedly rectified in the production line.

Like I said, if you are worried just send it to an SC, it's a known issue with Proton and definitely fixable.

It certainly didn't affect my decision to buy one last December. thumbup.gif
