If you only want chassis stiffness, install bars so you can remove them and sell it when you're done with them.

If you want to reduce noise, buy a roll of insulflex and DIY.

If you want both, foam your chassis and live with the fact that it is permanent and very difficult to remove.

Your choice hmm.gif

Hi Bros....

Guess it's time once again to share...my latest DIY! tongue.gif

This time it's an Auto-open Boot Spring...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Points to note :

1. Rubber tubing has been fitted to "S" hook and also hook end of item to eliminate any possible sounds from vibration when car is on the move. The rubber tubing I used was taken from a 3-core electrical cable ie its outer insulation.
2. Adjustment of protusion of ring end of item has to be done so that the boot lid does not open with too much force. This is done by gradually extending the adjustable end of item.

Eureka! That's it!!
Now lazy me has an auto open boot lid whenever me pull the boot release lever next to the driver's seat!!

for me the lazy part is to pull the boot release lever or insert the key to unlock the boot, not the lift up the boot part.
