QUOTE(MYstombox @ Mar 2 2012, 10:27 AM) Maxis charges PAYU once data limit over, and gives you full speed also. Ohh so last time no prompt. If got prompt no problem, plus like you said can check with USSD.And doesn't prompt you when you reach the amount. But now they will send you SMS once your quota reaches 80%. And now you can 'top up' when your quota reaches. You can also check quota usage via USSD codes. So its much safer and cheaper now. Added on March 2, 2012, 10:28 amIn the past it was Rm0.10/10kb Which is crazy expensive, now its RM0.30/mb Last time really curse maxis for the extremely high data charges. Ok la, settle QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Mar 2 2012, 10:28 AM) Seems like many of u guys have crappy digi reception. My DiGi reception here in sarawak still not bad, can get 3g signal in most areas i go, but i usually just use E for whatsapping. During work, even in KL, when I drive say from KL Sentral to Tun Razak area (etc), I can get my calls dropped one Added on March 2, 2012, 10:31 am QUOTE(teepee @ Mar 2 2012, 10:30 AM) Was on Hotlink Youth Club during uni days with the Daily/Weekly Blackberry Internet Service subscription. Was using blackberry that moment. Suka suka eat Rm1 or rm2 credit each day. Had to call customer service every weekend to ask them to rebate back to me. Their system says that I'm using GPRS but I subscribed to the BIS data, which should allow me to surf. So every week I had to call to ask them to rebate, kinda fed up with it so i switched away. Happened to all my friends using prepaid data too. Ah ok, yea the whole BIS issue. Hmm change to postpaid la This post has been edited by ellimist: Mar 2 2012, 10:31 AM |

QUOTE(kioku @ Mar 2 2012, 10:38 AM) The Green is indeed bucking up their game. How often can one port around? Like I port to green today tmrw can port back to yellow? But for existing postpaid customers like me, they do not allow changing to Internet Value Plans - Applicable to port-in, pre-to-post migration & new registrations. Maybe it'll work if I port-out and then port back in |

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Mar 2 2012, 10:42 AM) I switched from green to blue a few years back. headache every month. Hmm 3 months, not too bad. Guess not on contract got advantage also When the bill DUE for the month and haven't pay, don't even honor credit limit, directly cut off access. :s So after 1+ year switched back to maxis. Added on March 2, 2012, 10:42 amPort in and out, cannot be so quick. Usually they ask if its at least 3 months old. QUOTE(erymanthus @ Mar 2 2012, 10:55 AM) Dont't worry. Yeah the unlimited is bollocks. 5kbps do what rubbish lolWith maxis, now you can dial *136*9# to check your data usage every now and then if you are concern. With 3G Watchdog or Onavo, you can monitor your data usage too. I have been using Maxis 3G data plan since my SGS days from Sept 2010 until now...and never been overchanged a single time.....so, if you monitor your data and be careful, you don't have to worry. At least you get decent speed. Digi plan is unlimited but once you exceed, they throttle and slow you down until it's unusable which is as good as no data plan...it is just a marketing gimmick..."unlimited"... Just my 2 cents... |

QUOTE(blackchides @ Mar 2 2012, 05:20 PM) Yeah, I agree. I guess they want to maintain continuity with Gingerbread for mainstream users. I've been using the home button a lot in ICS (multitasking etc); I worry I may be wearing it too much. Starting to feel less responsive these days after about a month of ICS haha. Yeah. ICS aside, guess they have to maintain the general operation of S2 for current users. Not everyone so savvy and adapt to new usage if they change it That's my worry, and my main problem with S2. I hate physical buttons at the bottom |

QUOTE(rattan @ Mar 2 2012, 05:25 PM) Was actually hoping some custom ROM dudes would change the menu button to dedicated multi-tasker.Then they'll probably need to have a settings quick button somewhere in notification pulldown, just like stock ICS |

QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Mar 2 2012, 06:25 PM) You hate physical buttons? Haha preference I guess. As for me, not a fan of on screen buttons. Im used to touching bottom of screen for spacebar, wonder if any nexus accidentally hit home instead of spacebar or not Nah don't want on screen with the wasted space at the bottom, my sentiments about Nexus I like One X, large screen with buttons occupying bottom space. The more screen the happier I am (yes I know you're gonna say go get Note lol) QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 2 2012, 06:52 PM) Woot his last one on GB. Give us feedback if bagus, maybe weekend I flash it CODE this will be the last GB kernel release of SiyahKernel. If there is a bug in config interface I may update it (even without changing the version) but the kernel files will no longer be updated. Let's see what his final GB kernal file brings us This post has been edited by ellimist: Mar 2 2012, 07:25 PM |

Sup guys. how's the weekend treating you'll so far?
Right so today after watching a movie in Klang, went to Digi Jusco (need to separate supp line so both can port to the new Maxis plan), but they were like need to do in service centre which was open until 1pm only. And I'm not around next week Any idea if 1Digi is malls like Gardens/Pyramid handles these kinda things as well? (only got time to go after work). Oh Siyah now, everything's running smooth, quick and stable (ondemand + bfq + undervolt currently). Do miss NEAK colors somewhat (not just brightness, I believe color/saturation is a little different) but think I'll stick to Siyah for a while. Also, swiping notifications seem a tad easier now, dono it's coz Siyah touch sensitivity better or what. Maybe just my imagitnation, entahlah So overall, looks like my setup will stay at CRV6 + Siyah 2.6.13 + TB, till ICS launches and stabalises, and kernels and what nots are more developed for ot |

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Mar 3 2012, 08:20 PM) I have been using Neak Kernel 1.3.3x for a few days. Just now I flashed to Siyah 2.6.13...but noticed that the screen is much dimmer and colour less contrast... cannot get used to it....cham leh.......so flashed to Neak kernel 1.4 again... QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 3 2012, 08:22 PM) You can change kernel setting to increase brightness. For now you can use scripts or through the default.profile file. When the xan's app is ready you can change the brightness setting through the app. It's not just brightness. Don't know exactly the term, but loosely speaking something along the lines of contrast/color saturation. NEAK's colors are more pleasing to the eye in a sense. For some reason I have better touch sensitivity on Siyah. Plus waiting for the new app to come out plus it's a good kernel overall, so I'm gonna stick to it. But yeah, abit not used to the colors (No it's not brightness, I usually use low brightness on NEAK. Cranking up brightness to match the default lower setting does not solve it) |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 3 2012, 09:34 PM) Of cos the camera app. Not the quality. NEAK takda kot. Was on 1.3.3x and 1.4, and was having those swipe notification issues I mention. Patutla..Added on March 3, 2012, 9:37 pm Yeah siyah uses hardcore's mdnie settings that may not suite everyone. Touch sensitivity is something i like about siyah and redpill. Dunno neak got or not. Now on Siyah so much easier to swipe. Just like u said, it's all good. Hmm Siyah's color (apart from brightness) is not closer to stock colors? |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 3 2012, 09:48 PM) Try flashing a 2.3.6 stock rom then only flash custom rom. Haha I change between Siyah and NEAK, can't remember what stock looks like as well Added on March 3, 2012, 9:50 pm I dunno what stock color saturation is like. But yeah, I notice it but it doesn't bother me much. I'm ok with stock saturation as well iirc Siyah seems to have a good balance in standby battery and usage battery as well, imo |

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Mar 3 2012, 09:59 PM) CR V6 is super unstable for me. Mess up my phone. Have to be careful what kernel you flash. Have to flash twice to fix market prob and what not. Need to flash so many patches to make it compatible with latest jkay. So frustrated end up going back to stock rom. God forbid if you ever lodge a compalain on their thread. Just gonna get accused of your system being messy Haha yeah v6 did cause quite a commotion. Didn't help especially since they went about delaying it to release a "masterpiece"Thank god doc finally released HD V7. Much more stable and less drama. Differs from people to people I guess. V6 has worked without flaw for me from day 1. Only kernels I've used is Siyah and NEAK though on it. Edit : dude above me, thumbnail or just link the picture la, no need post the whole darn thing This post has been edited by ellimist: Mar 3 2012, 10:12 PM |
