QUOTE(nagflar @ Apr 27 2012, 10:21 AM) newbie need recommendation . Local choices are quite limited, only Razer BWE, Ducky XM Series and the coming Cherry g80-3800.budget rm1xx-2xx use for gaming , WOW , SC2 , etc want to buy my first mechanical keyboard . thx Not really sure how those XM alps switches feel to type on but feature wise it is probably the best(nkro, multimedia hotkeys, detachable cable and so on). If you consider importing it from foreign country, the choices available will be quadrupled. If you interested we can help you list down models for in your budget. |

QUOTE(nagflar @ Apr 27 2012, 12:05 PM) this is totally new to me . i read form website , the red and black switch is for gaming purpose . is that right ? Actually, those thing are just switches, to be pressed to actuate and register stroke into your PC. There isn't really gaming purpose or so on things. It is more to personal preference then the actual specs. |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Apr 27 2012, 03:16 PM) Blacks like pressing Batu and Red is too light feels like nothing? Actually, someone in GH really found a keyboard with "batu" Cherry switch. It is a vintage keyboard with vintage cherry white(not cherry clear). One of its key which mapped to "reset" is using a special version of vintage cherry blue, which doesn't actuate even over 400g, trololol...WOW, i didn't know 60g and 45g difference is so big Imagine i give you white switch, 75g, should be completely feel like batu, cannot press. somehow, I don't really like reviews written by those review websites:
- they review in from regular consumer's point of view (gaming gimmicks, blingbling and design) - they are not even expert in mechanical keyboards (no in depth review, eg key caps, stabilizers) - lastly, you don't know what kind of deal they had with the product manufacturer geekhackers, deskthority have better reviews This post has been edited by JohnDiew0107: Apr 27 2012, 04:33 PM |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Apr 27 2012, 03:16 PM) Blacks like pressing Batu and Red is too light feels like nothing? White switch was never 75g, it is only 60g with tactile feel. WOW, i didn't know 60g and 45g difference is so big Imagine i give you white switch, 75g, should be completely feel like batu, cannot press. It like heavier than brown or a black switch that is tactile. |
