For Novelty Keycaps, i still haven't receive them yet.

For Nyancat keycaps, i have received them last few days ago.

As for FC700, there's issue between manufacturer and leopold.(someone stole the FC700 blue print and sell it to keycool)

this issue already did happen few month ago. and i just disclose it here. although the design are the same, but it's aren't from the same manufacture, that's from what i heard.

As for currently now, Leopold is changing manufacturer. so delay will be further.

Leopold was previously mass produce in Taiwan, but later face some quality issue as well as cost problem. they shifted their manufacture to China, for investing into other stuff such as PBT, POM, Dye Sub, Doubleshot, something like that. Since it's cheaper in China

Hello guys, i'm back. after recovering some crucial data of invoice since my primary and backup hdd failed.

currently just finish sorting all the keycaps, and awaiting for pm for address confirmation for delivery which will starts tomorrow.

Notice : To all members that previously taken order on novelty keycaps, sorting has been completed. For angelofro : if i still remember, i still haven't send you the PANIC and X%&#! doubleshot keycap as well as Cherry MX Red Replacement switch right?. Please reconfirm this.

P/S : (sorry for taking a long time for sorting, mainly due to i lose all the data that was on my hdd primary and backup, i could only look back to lowyat pms and reading it one per one, and download the old JPEG pictures which i uploaded to novelty keycap order page to confirm the digits are correct.)

you can custom order them from signature plastic, well, it requires alot of $$$ for you to do so thou.

i have make a announcement back few pages ago regarding to novelty keycaps, to tell members to provide me their address due to my primary and secondary backup HDD Failures, and lost all data.

it's normal, and intended for future designs, i remember last time some one do approach me with the same question.

currently now i'm still waiting for leopold answers, from what i heard they're already done changing manufacturers for the keycaps and begin manufacturing them. i'll lurk to see if i can get em. <3 those thick PBT.

Archiss Keyboard and Leopold team-up to manufacture FC200, so they share the design of it, and the Manufacturer was Datacomp.(Taiwan Manufacturer)

As for Leopold FC700R, it does not have any thing related to Keycool new 87U.(solo project)

One of the main reasons why Keycool have a completely same PCB board of FC700R and retains the outer casing of FC200.
It is because the new Manufacturer in China has sold/given the blueprint of the PCB board to Keycool.(one of the main reason why Leopold are changing manufacturer last month)

Keycool has already been well known for duplicating Leopold Products, with it's FC200R clone. It's just that, this time they've even successfully stolen a PCB board design that the product hasn't release on Public yet.

Leopold FC700R release date : Feb 2012
Keycool new 87U : October 2011

As i say again, Leopold and Keycool Manufacturer does not shares the same manufacturer, one of the main reasons is because Most Manufacturing Equipment as well as Molding Equipment are under Leopold.

Plus the fact that Keycool has never be able to Manufacture PBT Keycap that Leopold has.

I myself is going for 2 Base Set, 2 Tsangan Kit, 2 10keypad kit.(one of the set is behalf of my friend).

If orders for based set are more than 5 person, then sharing the shipping fee is possible to be cheaper for you guys.

Actually, Keyboard is considered as a IT product, so 2nd hand value, it does gets lower than the original price.

As a common sense for collectors, they only collect stuff based on their "rarity level", If the item is mass produced. and it's not limited edition, what can you expect for it's value after 10 years?

For the keyboard collector, ONLY keyboard collector can see the true value in the items they collect. this applies to coins, stem, map, any other item. All it needs is people to appreciate the item.

If it's from a third person view on looking onto this, i don't think he's going understand all the hefty price tag just because of something that it has history and rare unless he do collect that item.

i know some users who collects graphic card. which i think is weird, and costly, but it's still part of history right? some users may even be interested in them when it's over 10 years, you never know how the future would end up to be.

Plus they doesn't even think about the value after 10 years, which i think it's pretty normal for collectors, since the item they collect are priceless to them, and they does not wish to sell it when they're given a chance, unless they're short of cash.
But collecting item just for the sake of profit? i think property investment, purchasing houses and rent for people would yield better result than just buying some old stuff and wait for 10 years.(in your life, you got how many 10 years????)

when apocalypse, Keyboard can be modding materials because of the vast item inside.
1.wire can serve as rope to tie stuff.
2.steel plated have multiple utilities, like cooking food on top of it? cut it line per line to make it as saw?
3.circut can be cutted and stacked and tied with with ropes to even carry other living utilities.
