anyone here know where i can get keycaps for ibm ssk keyboards? i gave in to poison and got meself one. also them stickers...

you can custom order them from signature plastic, well, it requires alot of $$$ for you to do so thou.

Where did you get SSK?

Keycaps can be ordered from Unicomp. But they do not ship to Malaysia. You need a US forwarder to do it.
Alternatively, if you want to save agent fees, try ask the Geekhackers, they are a very kind lot.

Among Plum/Plu/Noppoo, which would you guys recommend to go for? Or do you guys have another mkb around that price range that you would love to recommend me?

3 possible explanations:
1st: Red switch is a relatively newer switch(less than 3 years since it enter the market) and thus it is consider a rare stuff. Though, it's availability really do increased lots nowadays.
2nd: Less people go for Red switch, which mean less market for it and the switch price will be more expensive. Just like brown switch back in the past.
3rd: Supply vs demand. Lots red switch board from different brands popping out in the market nowadays, thus the demand may be higher than what Cherry can supply, thus more pricy.

im no hardcore gamer, but do prefer red switch for typing

i prefer to bottom out when typing, sometimes i type louder on red switch than blue switch

He probably mean "Got stock in Taobao?", cause SSK is selling like hot cakes in TB, thus often no stock.
You know, it is very profitable to sell SSK in Ebay US 100USD each(which is roughly RM150 than what it cost in taobao).

I just realize recently that bottom out steel plated Red Switch is actually quite pain to the fingers...

i wonder why they dont directly buy from taobao. i mean there are agents everywhere. or is the shipping cost murder? anyways. any advice on ibm model m for restorations etc..

So the seller really do have stock of it? The shop is among the cheapest SSK seller(other normally around 300RMB).
Actually, I had being eyeing on the store for a long long time already. Feel want to grab the Belkin PS2 to USB adapter from it, but to justify the shipping, better grab other things such as switch boards and so on together.

Added on April 3, 2012, 2:04 amTaobao agents for US isn't very cheap. I knew a case that someone ended up paying over 160USD for something cost 500RMB in taobao. Of course the shipping fee is also a killer factor here.
