I'm about to get my first mechanical keyboard, and my preferred switch type is the mx blue..
The thing is i've got plenty of offers for the razer bwu and the cm storm quickfire rapid..kinda stuck on choosing one..the blackwidow ultimate is a used unit and the cm storm is brand new,so both around the same price.. anyone can help?? |

If you're not worried about QC problem from Razer, you may go for Razer BWU, or else go for the CM storm quick fire rapid if you doesn't mind the lack of numeric pad, good thing is its brand new.The thing is i've got plenty of offers for the razer bwu and the cm storm quickfire rapid..kinda stuck on choosing one..the blackwidow ultimate is a used unit and the cm storm is brand new,so both around the same price.. anyone can help?? |

I would avoid Razer's at all cost.Razer BWU's QC problem is more frustrating as it affects the usability of the board... try to youtube for BWU's problem, see the problem yourself. |

Added on March 31, 2012, 8:06 pm QUOTE(joyformidable @ Mar 31 2012, 06:49 PM) LOL is he trolling the bottom row? He put three 1.25x modifiers for replacing 1.5x, 1x and 1.5x modifier of BWU bottom row? Added on March 31, 2012, 8:09 pm QUOTE(gven @ Mar 31 2012, 07:35 PM) I'm about to get my first mechanical keyboard, and my preferred switch type is the mx blue.. It is a no brainer. Go for CM Storm Quickfire, far more "gaming" than BWU does(shorter size for nearer mouse, true NKRO and 6KRO, and so on).The thing is i've got plenty of offers for the razer bwu and the cm storm quickfire rapid..kinda stuck on choosing one..the blackwidow ultimate is a used unit and the cm storm is brand new,so both around the same price.. anyone can help?? The cheapest price for CM Storm I heard around here is RM22x. I doubt BWU can reach something near it... QUOTE(kaysa @ Mar 31 2012, 11:48 PM) Now I understand what you mean when you say TROLL height keycaps last time. Probably won't. So far Cherry G80-3800 are Asia only item and made in China(previously all Cherry board made in Czech or Germany). They aren't original cherry height right? They are gonna abandon all the old production line for original cherry height keycaps? Some people suggested that Cherry G80-3800 is just to fill the role in low end segment, while 3000 served for mid end and 11900/1865 as high end. It is because 3000 are seriously overpriced in Asia market... |
