QUOTE(WTSNWTB @ Feb 23 2012, 05:26 PM) Erm from what I know u dun need to root to flash any custom rom, but to customise ur os then only u need root. Actually root is like having full access to ur pc, normally we have administrator, user, access for ur pc, if u got administrator u can basically delete everything and ur pc won't boot anymore. Root is similiar to that. Some custom roms comes prerooted so when you flash it , it will auto root your Tab. In principle you need root so that the system files can be access and be written over by the new rom filesCustom rom usually have diff version, diff apps, diff functions. Some really cutdown on the bloatware while some have special function like beta os from upcoming release or leaked version. B4 u flash recommended to root so u can backup everything and if anything happen u can restore it to original state. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Feb 23 2012, 08:36 PM) ok thanks, guess I'll leave it till this tab allows to move the app to the ext sd card. for the time being, i'll just rely on the primary storage. Will ICS update allows to transfer apps to ext sd card? |
