hi sifu,

current aged 26; male.
my existing plan is pruhealth room board RM200 expired age is 70 aged.

i am thinking to upgrade to pruvalue med.. 1mil  & cover up to 80 aged.
because thinking up to 70 aged looks under coverage.

but need to scarifies the NCB (RM300) yearly.

Kindly please advise, should i upgrade or remain?

Hi Colaboy,
Would like to ask also that if i downgrade or lower my coverage , will it affect anything except the sum assured ?
*
You won't be affecting anything except the insured value is lower & your potential cash value will be greater as more money will be allocated into purchasing fund for an investment link policy.

But personally I don't advise doing so, unless you really face some financial issue & needed to drop 1 or 2 riders in the policy to reduce the premium

why will like that till age 70?
i thaught is till age 99

older generation med card cover up to age 70 only . . .
only the newer series is able to extend up to age 80,90 or even 100

You can check with you current agent for an upgrade or maybe purchase
a top up on Prusenior med for your mom case rclxm9.gif

Any idea on the premium for Pru Value Med  for 54 years old, male, policy till 80. board - 200.00.
*
PruValue med must be attach with an ILP plan . . .It depends what other rider is included
in the plan as well & also other factors like smoking status/occupation/health condition

I would say a normal plan for a 54 Male now will cost aprox RM400-RM500/month. Thats
with the basic cover + a PVM

i just knew that my monthly contribution got increased from 150 to 165 per month without my acknowledgement.

anyone got affected by this? suddenly increase without giving me a call or confirmation, and then increase without changing benefit. damn so not professional
*
all clients will be notify from mail & also your servicing agent will received a listing for the increase
for all clients with older medical card series

which mean the Life and CI Accident riders can add-on to the medical card ?
the so call insurance guy.  mega_shok.gif

I having the PruBSN Medical Card with riders attached I believe,

You may refer to my previous reply.

Reason why I wanna switch is because the guy told me the medical card coverage no longer able to cope for the future medical cost woh...  unsure.gif

FYI, This year onward I need to pay RM135+ monthly for the PruBSN Medical card..

just get an endorsement to increase higher limit card according your budget rclxm9.gif

It seems like everyone here is covered by at least a mil.

Looking back at mine under 'PRUlife ready' which i purchased years back seems a little dated with coverage just 100k with monthly commitment of RM211.

Is my plan still good?

You can always consult your insurance rep for any advise . . .
Well if you are refering to life insurance its all about HOW MUCH u need, not HOW MUCH u have
