Majority of mobile OS are app centric.Users seems to prefer it that way.
But personally I prefer the integrated functions in N9 & N900.
I've used N9 & N950 for bunch of times & I think OS is quite fluid. The swiping things needs time to adjust.Sort of calibration.
Aside from commercial app developer support N9 has delivered pretty much everything. If Nokia do keep with software support I think it should keep MeeGo around for some time.

IMHO WP7's UI isn't suitable for everyone. Some users get "lost" with the UI.
Regarding true multitasking there are very few OS having them anyway.Too bad all of them are dying sad.gif
But it's true that using Microsoft expertise in desktop OS Nokia could perhaps gain their place back.Maybe they learn few things from Apple who used their own desktop OS to create their mobile OS.
Integrated services from Microsoft entertainment division is also a plus point for WP.
Users might wait & see whether Nokia can tie their own services & other things like camera in Nokia's WP devices.

If you guys can keep creating things like the X3-02 I think Nokia's future are very bright in feature phone section.

We still have more in store. Stay tuned.

Sometimes I couldn't believe myself how we squeezed so much out of so little. Try the Asha 302 and you'll see what I mean.

Yeah, the new Asha phones just announced are indeed amazing. MFE, Whatsapp for feature phones? Something unheard of & unthinkable but now a reality because of Nokia. But of course, most of us here wouldn't even bother with that tongue.gif

Sadly still nothing on my N9. Was hoping to be able to do the update before I go to work. Oh well...

You should use OTA first and flash with NSU or Navifirm as a last resort. OTA will leave all your apps untouched while flashing will set your phone back to factory state.

OTA for fast and keep every in-tact update. Means no need to back-up and restore.
If there is problem, then go for Navifirm or flash with NSU.

So, even with OTA, you might want to consider backup first, just in case.
