No... He removed the dvdrom, and replaced it with a HDD. which means that his laptop got 2 HDDs now.

i planned to do the same, except that I'm replacing it with a SSD. which means that I got 1 SSD and 1 HDD.

winkiedilwy I suggest put the SSD on the HDD slot and the HDD on the ODD slot, since ODD slot might have slower bandwidth (SATAII instead SATAIII in HDD slot).

Planned to get a Kingston 120GB HyperX 3K.
But there are some questions i'd like to ask:

1) The computer came preloaded with Windows 8. No discs were given. Is it possible to move the Windows 8 to SSD and other programs at HDD?
2) Warranty?
3) Installation?

1. You can use those program that can image the disc and move it. E.g. Macrium reflect.
2. Just put back everything when sending for warranty. Unless you got damage the notebook while doing it, should be no problem.
3. Haven't tried a A55V, is there a door on the bottom ? ODD slot usually take out one screw on the bottom.

and mind you try to put your WIN 8 installation files on pendrive and make sure bootloader is unlocked!

there is a big door at the bottom, and a cutout for the HDD i think, but got warranty sticker, and once that seal is broken, warranty voided.

Hi all..yesterday just bought Asus S200E. Open at night n heard annoying fan noise...i think i get defective unit. Is it true in 7 day time they will give one to one exchange

i recently buy laptop ASUS k46cb i5/750gb/2gb (+8gb) /GT740m ...

i know this model have i7 too... it ship with ssd+hdd...

so i want to ask you all...the mobo that use in i5 is same as i7 ?...if same... it also have port to insert ssd?

i wouldn't dare to dissemble it...yeah you know still in warranty...

Serial ATA Port 0 (HDD)
Serial ATA Port 2 (DVDROM)

where is port 1 missing...so i assume it will have space somewhere in mobo to insert one more hdd...

hi guys, my N55SF display driver keep crashing when playing game..here's what ive done yet :

1) clean fan, reapply thermal paste..tested when playing games gpu - 84, cpu - 70~C max
2) unistall GPU driver, update, rollback
3) reformated from windows 8 to windows 7
4) memtest, OCCT, furmark, speedfan

eventhough ive tried all, none solve my prob that is “Display driver stopped responding and has recovered”..sometimes if i ignore the notification ill get BSOD..

pls help, im at lost here

2nd, mostly your place condition damn hot...
3rd..memtest, OCCT, furmark, speedfan<- u kidding me?
and just try to re-install the driver at the 1st...
else is your cooling solution got problem bah...

like i stated ive tried almost everything suggested from net.

btw did i say i reformated my windows and the problem still occur..and i tried many vesion of drivers edy..also i doubt its my cooling problem since max temp is 70+C for my CPU and GPU around 80+C..

ahh, i fail to understand why my place condition temp is a factor since i my CPU and GPU temp is at acceptable temp when i do stress test? even if its hot outside but the lappy itself is not overheating its suppose to be good right..anyway just to clear some doubt my place is same like most malaysian household, around 37~39C

latest version of Geforce Driver not happen this 'quick-warm' issue..

+ poor condition will make u have some poor temp..[tht u mentioned.. ]
and try u use vacuum to blow the cooling...i tried at mine A43SV..

idle:35deg. celcius on CPU, GPU:56deg. Celcius...
this is my results...

like i said, ive clean the fan already, tear down my lappy and also replace my thermal paste..

mine idle CPU temp 40~C and GPU temp is 50~C..on full load only hit 70C and 80~C

tried latest, most stable, previous known workable driver edy still same issue

btw, there are time when my driver fail even when temp for both CPU and GPU less than 70C so i highly doubt its overheating..since ive tried clean format with old driver, latest driver still got prob...i also doubt it software problem ..this happen randomly, sometime 5min in game..sometimes 1hour+ ingame
