hi guys,

I'm using a A53S. Recently there are 2 windows updates which I'm not able to update.

Update - KB 2833946 & KB2803821
Failure code - 8007065E & 80073712

I think when it was installing the 1st time, I actually stopped it and it won't install now. Everytime I try again, the error will pop up. The annoying thing is, at my Shut Down part, there is always an exclamation mark like as though there is an update and every time I shut down the laptop, it will take time to "install updates".

Now, is there any thing I can do to "uninstall" the previous update and reinstall the update? I tried restoring to the earliest backup time but I think the earliest was after I stopped the update.

Secondly, my laptop is getting really hot, and I tried opening the case (via guidance from youtube) to clean the fan. I gave up after the part where I remove the keyboard as it seems really complicated in there and I'm afraid I might break something. Is there anyone that provide these services?

Thanks in advance!

IMHO that, your driver GPU version should be latest, Version, 320.49
mine A43SV w GT 540M playings fews of hours till max approx 75 deg. Celcius smile.gif

Thanks for the reply, man.

I updated the driver to 320.49. And it worked great ! Thanks for the help.

FYI, the reason why I didn't update my driver was because a lot of people commented that some of the drivers cause other problems when you install them. I tried it once before (I think it was version 310 or 314 or something) and right after that the temp went up for no reason and the graphic performance actually went worse.

Glad it didn't happen with this new driver smile.gif

Probably a bit off topic here....
But do any of u guys ever have problem installing STAAD pro on N55SF-352V ?
I installed it once before and it runs fine. After I'm done using it, I uninstalled it to clean up my lappy.

Now I tried ti re-install it due to work and I can't seem to get it to run.

The installation seems to run fine (by the looks of it). But whenever I double-clicked the program to launch it a pop-up comes out Attached Image

I searched the internet and apparently this error is due to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable thingy. But it seems that different programs utilize different fixes.

Anyone have any idea on how to resolve? Thanks.

P.S. : Also, anyone know how to get the benchmark of lappy's GT555M?

Hi guys,

I am looking forward to buy an ASUS laptop bui I have a couple of questions:

1- Where did you buy your asus laptop? Is it a trustable shop? Please share..

2- I am interested in A45VS-VX028H but can't find a good review. ANyone is using it? Is it okay? Problem?

Thank you in advance.

Asus K46CB-WX060H – 14” / i5-3337U / 2GB / 750GB / GT740 2G / W8

Ps. I was beginning thought of buying this model as well, but end up survey result go for Lenovo Z400T. tongue.gif
Lenovo Z400T – 14” Touch / i5-3230M / 4GB / 1TB / GT740M 2G / W8

So if you prefer Asus brand then go for the model I mention above but if you not die hard at Asus brand, can take a look at Lenovo. I already survey this 2 model for almost 2months already. sweat.gif
