Depending of what kind of jacket you want. Certain jackets really nice and cheap. But for good quality wan or those REAl down/ >90% down or super lightweight down jackte, it will not be as cheap as you think. Those superlight down sometime can be as high or more than the RM299 sold in Uniglo. Anyway on avg their winter clothing is slightly cheaper than M'sia. Windter boot lagi cheap haha..Well should add to the "Can buy" list liao- winter clothing haha
QUOTE(mkaz @ Feb 23 2012, 05:36 PM)

Incheon voted world’s best airport for 7th year running

World's best airports announced -- Asia dominates
The latest Airport Service Quality Awards underscore the differences between Asia and the West

By CNNGo staff 15 February, 2012

Incheon Airport Incheon Airport added two movie theaters, an ice rink and the world's first airport Louis Vuitton store during the past year.

Korea’s Incheon International Airport has maintained its streak with a seventh consecutive win in the annual Airport Service Quality Awards from Airports Council International (ACI).

Incheon Airport took the title of “Best Airport Worldwide” of 2011 by ACI on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, for the seventh year in a row.

Singapore's Changi Airport came in second and Beijing Capital International Airport took third in a top five that was filled entirely by Asian airports. Full results are below.

“For Incheon International Airport to dominate in this category for seven consecutive years is testament to the degree to which customer service is intrinsically linked to their business strategy,” said Angela Gittens, the World Director of Airports Council International (ACI).

ACI -- a non-profit organization based in Montreal -- consists of 580 members operating 1,650 airports in 179 countries and territories, and is the only global trade representative of airports.

The ACI rankings are considered some of the most prestigious accolades in the industry, along with the World Airport Awards given by Skytrax, a United Kingdom-based consultancy.

Hong Kong International Airport took the SKYTRAX top prize for 2011, while Singapore's Changi Airport and Incheon International Airport came in second and third.

The ACI's yearly review is based on passenger satisfaction surveys.

'I have been hugely impressed by Incheon International Airport ever since I first came to Korea," said frequent traveler Paul Tonks, who recently traveled to the United Kingdom via Incheon. "As someone who grew up a few miles from Heathrow Airport, one of the world's busiest, I think that the experience of using Incheon is superbly efficient and comfortable."

According to the ACI's 2011 review, Guayaquil (2-5 million passengers), Nagoya (5-15 million passengers), Seoul Gimpo (15-25 million passengers) and Singapore (more than 40 million passengers) were the top performers in their respective categories for Best Airport by Size.

Chongqing, Dubai, East London, Guayaquil, Montreal and Palma de Mallorca took top honors for Best Improvement in their respective regions.

The past year was a notable one for the Korean "aerotropolis" (airport city), with the additions of an ice rink last September and two movie theaters in January.

Incheon also recorded the highest duty free sales in the world, partly due to the opening of the world’s first airport Louis Vuitton store last September.

And for the upcoming year?

“We expect 300 million people to visit Incheon Airport this year,” said Min-yang Kang, public relations coordinator for the airport.

I'm going to stay at a guesthouse near Itaewon from the 12th of June to the 18th.
Does anyone know the weather and temperature during that time ? I heard during summer, it's as hot as in Malaysia.
Anyway, I'm a Muslim and I wear a hijab, so I guess I have to start planning for the clothes to wear during my stay there.

Regarding the food, is there any restaurant that sells Korean food like bulgogi, jjangmyeong etc but using halal ingredients ?
Because I think it'll be more fun to actually eat their food instead of the Arab dish and all.

I hope you can help me. Thanks smile.gif

hi there...i'm a silent reader in this thread for quite a while already and would like to share some info with you on the halal food that i found & tried so far in seoul ..

There is one halal restaurant called Murree Korean Halal Food .. it's in Itaewon and if you're going up hill towards the Seoul Mosque, you will not miss it.. it's on the right side of the road ... their menus are a mixture of Indian food and Korean food ... i've tried bibimbap, kimchi jeon, bulgogi something something (can't remember the exact name) and the food is ok ... but the price is a bit expensive.... one dish is about 8k won ...

As for jjangmyeong, I've tried once at Loving Hut, Sinchon ... it's actually a vegetarian shop, hence they do not use any sort of meat at all ... they use tofu as a replacement for meat ... the food is not bad either ... price also not so expensive ... much much cheaper than those in Itaewon ....

Other than that, I always go to Yukaney.. coz they have this seafood fried rice whereby they goreng2 the rice in a pan in front of us with lot's of sotong & mussels.. so yummy.... i went there 3 times during my last visit last 2 weeks ...

worst come to worst, you can always opt for Shrimp Burger at Lotteria ...

Would it be weird that I want to go to a noraebang in Korea?

gps is just voice in english..menu is still korean. smile.gif jeju is not very hilly imo but still have a fair amount of hills since its a countryside kinda place. if u drive thru mt hallasan, from jeju city to seogwipo, definitely a lot of bends here and there. smile.gif both cars should work fine, only slower mar..haha. i drive alone also use kia forte..cuz i know going thru mount hallasan..hehe

for most us, i think we just use t-money since can use for paying other things as well. i think m-pass not useable for buses and other subway lines like korail?

those who driving in jeju, any problem navigating? we have a rather short trip in jeju, would prefer self-drive but time is also a concern. only one and a half day there...

btw, it is 2.89 now gone up slightly. huge gap between selling/buying price. guess nobody want to keep korean won now.
