As much as we(Muslims) want to try all those Korean food, do bear in mind, its just impossible to eat any meat there. Your only choice is those middle east/indian restaurants, but then, they're not Korean food arent they?

This blog is useful for Muslims (Muslimah as a whole since the blogger is a Malay lady wearing Hijabs). http://budgettravel2korea.blogspot.com/201...rea-part-2.html

Also, check the first page for Listiani's Halal food lists. wink.gif

Thank you for all the replies smile.gif
I guess I'll do more research on the food since I still have a lot of time.
AA was having a good promo and it was hard not to purchase the tix, and mid of June is the only time my friends and I are free so summer it is.
I asked my Korean friend about the weather and she told me to bring a topcoat since it's a little cold during the night. Is it true ?

During the day, what is the most suitable clothes to wear ? Is it okay to wear a blouse and jeans ?
Just like people in Malaysia ?

I think mid-June is already Summer. Maybe chiller than in July-August. Try ask your Korean friend again to confirm.
If its Summer, I think you can wear like in Malaysia already. But normally Summer will have alot of rain. Do pack your rainy days clothes aswell, just in case. Umbrellas, raincoats, leather waterproofed shoes, extra pair of socks etc.

The Koreans call it "Chang-ma 장마", rainy season. Watch the video below to see how it looks.

Might be too early to ask this; anybody living/studying/working in S.Korea? Wanna meet up? I'll be in Seoul; July onwards.

hi there...i'm a silent reader in this thread for quite a while already and would like to share some info with you on the halal food that i found & tried so far in seoul ..

There is one halal restaurant called Murree Korean Halal Food .. it's in Itaewon and if you're going up hill towards the Seoul Mosque, you will not miss it.. it's on the right side of the road ... their menus are a mixture of Indian food and Korean food ... i've tried bibimbap, kimchi jeon, bulgogi something something (can't remember the exact name) and the food is ok ... but the price is a bit expensive.... one dish is about 8k won ...

As for jjangmyeong, I've tried once at Loving Hut, Sinchon ... it's actually a vegetarian shop, hence they do not use any sort of meat at all ... they use tofu as a replacement for meat ... the food is not bad either ... price also not so expensive ... much much cheaper than those in Itaewon ....

Other than that, I always go to Yukaney.. coz they have this seafood fried rice whereby they goreng2 the rice in a pan in front of us with lot's of sotong & mussels.. so yummy.... i went there 3 times during my last visit last 2 weeks ...

worst come to worst, you can always opt for Shrimp Burger at Lotteria ...

Nice info you have there! Kamsahamnida for sharing!
