guys, my fren is going to hongkong end of this month...
at first, i tried arrange itinerary for her...but end up, she has no confident as she dont speak chinese.

anyone of you have any local travel agent, which could assist her.
please PM me.. muslim traveller...
4 days 3 night (flight booked)
*
I am muslim.. I not speak chinese... I just go there without any agent help with my family... no problem at all.

why worry.. HK is best place for visitor... all travel info available on internet and can downloaded to smartphone. MTR, ferries, buses, trams schedule are available in android marketplace.

Most of HK people can speak english... better than malaysian.

I recommended to stay at Tsim Sha Tsui for muslim.

HK tourism board have a list of Halal restaurants... nearly 30.

Halal food restaurant is operated by someone who can speak english... oh.. even can speak malay in one of the restaurant..

TIPS: just speak Malay while there... you might meet someone who understand malay... biggrin.gif

almost the same for me. Unless you go for those fancy restaurants, that I'm not sure. Usual meal will set u back ard HKD20-25.

Thanks!

So I assume eating out is around the same price as in Singapore.
Hmmm I wonder why some of my friends said that HK is much more expensive.

One more thing, I want my little brother who is in HK now with my family to have a data/voice sim card. Which one would you suggest?
Why I want him to have data is so that he can whatsapp me.

I read somewhere that one of them is one2free by CSL.
But so many conflicting stories.

Thanks

I also wonder this as well. But after experiencing it myself, can safely said its almost same as Sg. But bear in mind I dont go restaurants, just those normal aircond shops.
Am not sure about data/voice plan since I nvr get one when I was there. But reading thru, the most value I think its still as Mugenz mentioned - CSL.

When I was at there, HKD250 for 5 person is the minimum...

KL have The Ship which not a real ship... but Al-boom is inside real ship make in india... sailed thru sea to kuwait and become the restaurant.

Hello bro and sis,

I will be going to HK tis Fri. (4D3N)
Juz wonder, which 1 is more worth.

Octopus Card (HK$):

* Adult: Deposit $50 + Stored Value $100 = Price HK$150

OR

Airport Express Tourist Octopus:

* Airport Express One Free Single Journey + 3 days unlimited travel on MTR + $50 deposit + Stored value $20 = Price HK$220
* Airport Express Two Free Single Journeys # + 3 days unlimited travel on MTR + $50 deposit + Stored value $20 = Price HK$300

And as for the HK prepaid data sim card, is it HK$88 for 7 day data access rite? Inside got credit? Available in micro sim? for iPhone4.

Thanks! laugh.gif

it depends on u whether do u travel tat much on MTR or nt and do u wanna travel frm airport to the city n vice versa by airport express or nt. if u purchase airport express travel pass on9 and using HSBC credit card u r entitle for cheaper price.. u can haf consecutive 3 days unlimited travel on MTR without need to top up.

it's better to use octopus card if u travel less on MTR. octopus card can be use on other things beside MTR
