Like HK very much, went there twice last year, have covered the tourist attractions plus some of the off beaten path. At the moment, monitoring Cathay Pacific's promo air fare, would love to go again any time....

woooo.... haha same i like HK too... the weather, the MTR, the shopping. would love to go back again to cover all the tourist attractions. there was one day i went to avenue of stars chilling with my friend then met this guy brought his own portable speaker there and blast his music out loud, then me and my friend got a couple of beers then join him. seriously the most relax feeling i ever felt. its like totally stress-free. the wind blow and the view... ahhhh by just thinking also make me wanna go back again.

Hi! I'm going to HK next week. Below is the itinerary I drafted. Would appreciate comments and advise regarding my planning.

Day 1 – Wednesday (21/3/2012)
10:30am: Reach HKIA, take bus A21 to Dragon Hostel, Mongkok
11:30am: Check in Hotel (if room not ready, leave luggages at hostel first)
12:00pm: Lunch – Any nice place to suggest?
1:00pm: Go to Ding Ding Travel Agency to buy tickets to Ocean Park and The Peak
2:00pm: Back to Dragon Hostel to check-in and shower
2:45pm: Walk around Hostel area (eg: Argyle Center) for some shopping
5:00pm: Proceed to Avenue of Stars (is it too early to go at 5pm? If yes, maybe I can go for dinner first)
8:00pm: Symphony of light
8:30pm: Take Bus up to Peak (will tram be faster?)
9:00pm: Madame Tussauds
10:00pm: The Peak
11:00pm: Go back hostel (via bus?)
12:00am: Sleep

Day 2 – Thursday (22/3/2012)
8.00am: Breakfast at Australia Dairy Company, Jordan
8:45am: Reach MTR Admiralty. Take Bus 629 to Ocean Park
12:00pm: Lunch at Ocean Park (are there many choices of food there?)
5:00pm: Leave Ocean Park (my BF wanted to buy dslr accessories. Are there any reputable shops to recommend?)

11:30pm: Go back hostel
12:00am: Sleep

10.30am: Ride the Lisboa Shuttle Bus
>Visit Ruins of St. Paul, Senado Square(San Ma Lo), Monte fort, museum, Rua da Felicidade(street food), fountain, Loukau Mansion, St Dom's Cathedral, Holy House of Mercy, Kuan Tai Temple, Bishop Office, Jesus SQ, Old City walls, Mount Fortress, Museum, St Anthony's, Sir Rob's

Shatin famous for Roasted Pigeon.. u need go Open Rice and check which one is the famous one.

I suggest once check out then straight go Tung Chung, then put ur luggage in the lockers provided there. After shopping , then head straight to airport via the shuttle service.

Maybe u have 7hours of shopping biggrin.gif

I think AOS, surrounding got other places to visit like 1881 Heritage as well. So maybe should be fine.

I read that DSLR stuff can get around Mongkok, but avoid those main street with neon light shops. According to Tripadvisor they usually con/scam tourist.
I read about this thread in tripadvisor on DSLR stuff, go google biggrin.gif

Not all shuttle buses go to both ferry terminals. Their routes are very specific. Which casino's shuttle bus that you plan to take? Fyi, Venetian and Galaxy have shuttle buses departing to both terminals.

So far I never purchase ticket ferry online and never got a problem, but be there earlier since there is the morning crowd.

What do you plan to do at Sands? If not gambling, just skip Sands (nothing interesting) and Fisherman's Wharf (very deserted and waste of time).

To move between taipa and mainland, these casinos have shuttles connections:
venetian-sands
mgm-city of dreams
galaxy-star galaxy

So from wynn's head across the road to MGM for sight-seeing, then take bus to COD. COD-Venetians-Galaxy are connected by shuttle service too, or just walk.

1. check the website. its stated there.
2. Octopus HKD150, comes with preloaded HKD100. Cant answer u coz we dunno where u going to.

#Would suggest to take the tourist pass from MTR Which is around HKD200+++ which gives u 1 way free transit using the airport line + 3days unlimited usage for MTR line.

This one got 2 ways airport line transit but more expensive. So u ownself go and check it out.

hahahaha the toilet has always been the problem, u will find more toilet pictures of how small is it more than the actual pic of the room at tripadvisor lol.

However, glad its really good. coz i mostly will be taking Casa as well.

Mind share more of your trip?
*
Not sure what to share. HK is a well connected place. As long as you know the name of the place you want to go there is no way you will lost. Oh ya at the reception on 1st floor of Casa hotel there is many cards where you can take to enjoy certain discount like going to Madame you get 10 or 20% discount. Cant really remember.

Most important if you staying more than 3 days get yourself a Tourist Pass for MTR at HK airport. It cost you HKD 220 and when you return the card you will get back HKD 50. If you are going to Ngong Ping 360 and plan to ride crystal cable car it is shut off for maintenance 3mth since January.
