Thanks for the information! smile.gif My bf and I will be spending a week in HK, so we planned to visit Macau and Shenzhen as well. We're looking for a budget guest house as we will be out most of the time, so we just need a room to sleep in at night.
*
Will be going there in Dec this year biggrin.gif Hope the weather will be just nice smile.gif the MTR trip to Shenzhen will take about 45min+-. For accomodation I recommend Dragon Hostel in Mongkok (affordable + excellent service + free wifi) biggrin.gif

Means you only pay when you get there? Do you need to pay any deposit for your booking?
*
Pay 1 night as deposit, they have a local bank account in Public Bank & CIMB if not mistaken then the rest pay in full when arrive there smile.gif

You can try 'Ladies Street' aka 女人街 in Mongkok which is similar with the Petaling Street here in KL but the stuffs are mostly girls stuffs & there are some of the things that you can't find it here wink.gif good place for souvenir as well smile.gif

Will going to HK on May next yr by AA from KL-HK and back from Shenzhen-KL. Wondering the plane for domestic and to HK is it the same? Why lot of people here mention going to Macau for the HK trip, is it attraction place to visit at Macau cause my itinerary not including Macau. We prefer Shenzhen more than Macau. Going there for 7D6N. You guys think how many days enough to stay at Shenzhen cause as I know Shenzhen not many places to visit other than shopping. Can anyone recommend budgeted hotel since we going to stay there so many days and 9 people of us? We plan to stay near Mongkok as understand there is very convenient to get food and near to the tourist place.
*
For my trip to HK last year, my flight was KL - ShenZhen & return...it's really a pain in the a$$ as the MTR trip from Shenzhen airport to border MTR is 45min....then from boarder MTR to Mongkok MTR is another 45 min sweat.gif which makes it a triring trip with all the luggage rclxub.gif

any recommand 3 star hotel? budget rm300 to rm350. room can fit 3ppls?
actually want try guest hse or budget hotel but the website pic not same as actual pic after google. really dilemma.
any budget hotel condition like tune hotel?
*
If you want condition as nice & tidy at HK with that price is really quite difficult mate...settle for the <Dragon Hostel> in Mongkok, stayed there last year & they have multiple room choices, since you got 3 person going, you can choose the room with 1 single bed & another double decker bed. The main point of this hostel is that its cheap & very near to MTR stations & some local attractions in Mongkok wink.gif

You can try 'Dragon Hostel' in Mongkok, I've stayed there last year & I'll be staying there again this coming Dec for holiday. Location is abt 5min walk away from MTR station, Sport shoe st & Lady st is just opposite, got snack stall just downstairs biggrin.gif

I got my room for 2 @ HKD 360/night, staying there whole week for only approx RM 1000+- tongue.gif

JUst to seeking advises here. May i ask how much should I change for HK dollars for a trip of 5d 4n?

It's a couple trip. Excludes flight and hotel cause these are already settled.
*
QUOTE(ChrisWeiYuan @ Dec 27 2012, 04:56 PM)
Rm2000 is per person. So total is rm4000 for two of us. I understand the living standard at HK is very high. That is why i am wondering Rm4k enough for both of us. Didn't expect the Mineral water bottle is Rm10 per bottle! OmG!
*
IMHO RM 2000 for each person is more than enough for a not so flashy trip wink.gif for my previous trip to HK 2 weeks ago, I spent around the same amount of money as well but no shopping though...
