My family and I like to eat out a lot but I know it's not the best idea to be ordering nasi lemak or pork rice often. If I know I shouldn't be eating something oily/fried (hello, 98.964% of Malaysian cuisine) I opt for a bowl of Lui Cha, instead I sometimes cheat and just have steamed versions of what I usually get, to be honest >steamed chicken rice lol What do you guys usually order? I'm curious as there seems to be little choice if you're trying to eat healthily in Kuching. This post has been edited by ayampenyet: Feb 13 2012, 11:41 PM Attached thumbnail(s)

I'm usually go for tosai, and only eat with it's coconut condiment..the white2 one.
I assume tosai less oil..at least lesser than roti canai

Tandoori Chicken probably makes the most sense. But even this can be a challenge to find.
I'd stick with Capati for Carbs.

In my opinion capati is healthier. naan is white flour, not that healthy normally thosai they put ghee to give the extra taste. But then if you dont want the oil, ask for Rava Thosai. it is a thin crispy one. Or the other way you can see the oil is if you ask for Thosai with sugar or planta thosai. Sometimes I order a chapati with a few side dishes of vegetables, plain water.
