There was another post on Lowyat that shows the email of the newegg staff not recognizing Newegg Malaysia as their official distributor in Malaysia. Find it strange though. I really hope they are not closing down because of that.

Also, it has been 1+ year and Newegg Malaysia is still taking orders from facebook instead of establishing a warehouse here and have a shop to sell products.

Crossing fingers that they will improve on their services and cut down those transportation fees and service taxes. That will benefit the customer and in return have more returning customers to order from them.

They actually improving. They have come this far, I really doubt they will close down.

Hope they can be ready for the Black Friday this coming November 28 2013, have some things in my mind that I would like to purchase.

To make it genuine to customers that they are subsidiary of Newegg?

Now this is where New Egg Malaysia has misrepresented themselves by making other people to believe that they are a legitimate subsidiary of Newegg Ltd. There's going to be a trademark issue also if Newegg pursues this. If only New Egg has been truthful about themselves, they wouldn't be facing any legal suits. With good service and reasonable pricing, they should be able to make a good following among Malaysian consumers.

Poorly managed sums up this so called 'Newegg Malaysia'. Initially they were providing hardware at a lower price then recently they just messed it all up by hiking up the price the same as local retail, together with the inconvenient method of using FB instead of a full website.

Too bad, they could have done very well despite being not really an official subsidiary of Newegg.

I think Newegg Malaysia is closed for good.

It has been more than 4 weeks (October 10 2013 till today) and yet they have not finished *upgrading* their system.
