I think they gonna source the goods still from Malaysia distro, price will not be like the ones u have in USA.

That's why we are all hoping that it will indeed be like US pricing with rebates and all.

I think hardware tax still applies to us malaysian. As for shipping, It depends? It would be nice if shipping is free to us Sarawakians/Sabahans.

I heard in oversea most of computer stuff bought online, in malaysia more than 80% is sell to retail shops. different market.

I really hope their source is not from local dist. Hoping that newegg US them self is the distributor to malaysia newegg.

Apple can do it. Without the need of local distributor. All their product are directly shipped from china to worldwide. Newegg also have their own wareshouse in china and US. Price can be different from US newegg, but if they can sell cheaper than local retailer that would be great already. If not, what is the point buying online if the price is much expensive than local retailer?

Newegg does not take stock from distributors, they negotiate their own purchases from manufacturers. In fact, they are so big, Malaysia distributors probably cannot even compare. If Malaysia distributors do not sell to them, it is not a problem for them because stock could be obtained from their other distribution channel. Shipment from China for a whole container is so cheap and considering the quantities they purchase, they can sell them at US pricing for most products without sales taxes.

The question is...should they and will they?
