QUOTE(CyntrixTech @ Feb 14 2012, 01:30 PM) Newegg does not take stock from distributors, they negotiate their own purchases from manufacturers. In fact, they are so big, Malaysia distributors probably cannot even compare. If Malaysia distributors do not sell to them, it is not a problem for them because stock could be obtained from their other distribution channel. Shipment from China for a whole container is so cheap and considering the quantities they purchase, they can sell them at US pricing for most products without sales taxes. The question is...should they and will they? amen..... who said capitalism is bad.

The question is...should they and will they? no point if they sell their products at normal price..only a benefit for those people who are lazy to move their ass off to go to a shop and get it. but if they do have deals like the black friday one, then f***ing hell man.

QUOTE(Lurker @ Feb 14 2012, 10:53 AM) Lol. All of us expect newegg to sell with prices like in US. Diff markett! Prolly their stock will be from local distro! You think the local distro gonna allow ppl from diff market undercut them? Then no one wanna become distro But what we can hope is the promotions and discounts will be bigger! And according to local festivals/celebrations i dun mind getting from newegg even if it slightly more expensive given the superior warranty coverage, free shipping, & rebates. p/s, purchasing from on9 site like newegg mostly cheaper after rebates, but more expensive b4.

Great news IMHO... more competition means more benefit for consumers... lately it seems that local retailers have an agreement to sell new items at absurd prices

The question is...should they and will they? As a factory, if Newegg really going to open a branch at Malaysia, definitely they will had the information notified to Principle. I doubt Factories will allow Newegg to do so by buy stock directly from Factory and over jump the level of distributor.
