Huh? I have been using the Galaxy Wonder for about a month already, but no problems, and I got to say, it's "Wonder" ful....

But sometimes, this are called luck, depends on the device which was assembled in the factory, robots are not 100% perfect..
But what we do not know maybe its the user that is at fault, anyhow, it's consumer's rights, and Samsung is smart to refund, if not situation will boil and defamatory kicks in just like KFC....

Hmm substantially sluggish? Didn't play with my friend's one alot, but although I wasn't particularly impressed with the whole rave about revolution of smoothness, I didn't seem to notice it was sluggish.

wave, by sluggish, are we talking speed or smoothness?

But could be because ICS is freshly baked, while on S2 we're used to <insert rom here> + siyah/redpill + thunderbolt laugh.gif

But yeah, the whole online reviews about it being a major step forward in terms of smoothness, I can't particularly agree with that. And speed wise, I feel S2 is alot faster.
*
It sluggish in term of speed, not smoothness. GNex is smooth alright. On that Google earn their credit. But with same 1.2Ghz dual cores (though different processor) GNex should be as snappish as SGSII :-(
~~just my two cents~~

Downloaded double twist, songs no more skipping.

Should I reflash rom or just leave it n use other music player?
*
If you are with it, the just use some 3rd party music player and play the music. It will avoid much hassle of flashing the ROM again

Ah then yeah, guess it's not as fast. And for me personally, I'm a fan of speed over smoothness of transitions tongue.gif
Hmm maybe needs time for ICS to mature abit? Or it's just cause of all the added transitions that's slowing it down? What do you feel when using your Nex

And oh guys, checkrom V6 right around the corner. Should be out late evening/night our time my guess tongue.gif:

Transition smoothness/GUI smoothness is just a perception many people have.

I find that a launcher's developer would be able to optimise GUI smoothness if they wanted to.

I rather have speed over smoothness too because if its slow its slow.
I have a milestone on CM7 that's smooth, but slow when opening apps.

But can't help it if the RAM and processor speed is ..z.

On the other hand, the SGS that I had, was smooth and relatively fast.
Even though the GUI would occasionally be jerky, now with MIUI and Golauncher it is smooth and snappy.

User experience for that is much better than original, darky or even CM7.

My everyday phone however is the SGS2, and although the only tweak I've done to it was to flash speedmod kernel.

Using golauncher, the GUI is smooth and the experience is fast. Although 'fast' is a relatively subjective term, it loads apps and websites quick enough for me to feel good using it.

A lot of my friends who complain about a phone being slow, etc. I will bring out my milestone and tell them that 'slow' isn't the right term, but rather choppy.

Yeah agree with you, choppy and slow are 2 different things.

Not just in launching apps, but general navigation of the apps and other menus. e.g. pressing back multiple times to exit from a deep settings menu. Happens real fast on the S2. And I do see the occasional jerk, but that doesn't affect the speed usage.

Have a feeling iphone is not particularly fast, with the transitions and all. I could be wrong (then again then don't hit back much, just the home button)

What do I feel about my stock GNex.??
Quite disappointed actually. Maybe it because of my high expectation on a fast, powerful and awesome latest Google phone. Still, I had no regret buying this phone as I believe it will matured in coming times. But until that times come, it will be sitting inside the box as i prefer using SGSII for daily usage while GNote as a secondary phone when i have some leisure times. :-)

To me the only thing I like about superamoleds are that the blacks do not user power.

But for uniformity etc, I actually prefer PLS.

Same, i prefer IPS technology over AMOLED, AMOLED too unbalanced to me.

Tried using google dns, the 8.8.8.8 one, but still cant seem to watch some US only stuff, i wanna watch a snl verizon skit, but sadly it says not available in my region. Any ideas why? I already set up google dns correctly

Maybe it's umobile's problem?
If it didn't bother you on another network, maybe its the network operator's fault instead of the phone.

Umo is UMTS2100 only, and if no signal it should drop back down to celcom.
Never select 2G?
