inside CWM there is advanced, and there should be a "clear battery stats" or wipe.
Maybe reflashing on top of your current ROM may solve it. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 14 2012, 11:18 AM |

Have u tried factory resetting first?
Try factory reset before flashing ROM over it. Added on February 14, 2012, 11:48 am QUOTE(Positron @ Feb 14 2012, 11:46 AM) Old news, launched a few weeks ago. Just crawled out from a cave? This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 14 2012, 11:48 AM |

Play games, it won't last long due to screen usage.
Longest I've played was about 4 hours. |

Nope, I don't subscribe to any of the game loft games due to their purchase policy.
Pyxidis is the game. Very tough game, but engaging. Added on February 14, 2012, 2:16 pmAnyway, downloading Speedmod's K2-21 now. Testing it in a while. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 14 2012, 02:16 PM |

Btw Pyxidis is quite graphics intensive due to the 3D moving balls, lots of them.
Temp usually cranks up to quite high. |

ICS rom a lot, use at ur own risk.
Why not just wait till an official one is released before using it? Added on February 14, 2012, 2:42 pmFor those who have experience with MIUI rom, there is a firewall like setting that will allow/limit data connection for individual apps depending on what type of connection you are on. i.e. Wifi or Mobile data or totally off. Anyone tried any that is similar? This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 14 2012, 02:42 PM |

??
cannot detect the ORI rom? But ODIN doesn't need to detect anything except that your phone must be in download mode before you plug in. Even if the phone is half screwed and cannot even turn on no matter what, as long as can go download mode ODIN would usually work. Added on February 14, 2012, 3:10 pmBtw, I suggest leaving your battery in for a few days. It could be that the battery calibrator is trying to calibrate the battery indicator then you keep changing battery. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 14 2012, 03:10 PM |

gmail is not push
its controlled under setting -> accounts Added on February 14, 2012, 4:21 pmI'm not sure if there's an app that integrates a data monitor/firewall together with a timer that like that in juice defender. Where you can restrict internet access to certain apps, and to others at timed intervals so all update together. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 14 2012, 04:21 PM |

The kernel cleaning script is good when swapping between kernels, it removes the kernel setting files.
On the SGS, my phone couldn't boot until I cleaned it using this script. |

QUOTE(Positron @ Feb 14 2012, 05:02 PM) I just did the battery calibration, before I used the calibration app, when unplugged it went from 100% to 97%.. Battery calibration is useless in the s2. Doing this is just fooling yourself. So I did one calibration, and when I unplugged, it went from 100% to 99%.. And finally I charge back up to 100% and I press calibrate battery, and when I unplugged it, it stayed at 100%.. So it works... The battery auto calibrates. |

QUOTE(Positron @ Feb 14 2012, 11:10 PM) Hey could someone shed some light on this. Test and let us know since you're already doing some experimentation. Thanks. What I noticed is that using live wallpaper yes, it is inevitable that is sucks juice. On the other hand, when I tried live wallpaper, scrolling the pages from left to right lags quite profoundly. So I thought I might try using setcpu, and set to conservative... From my observation, conservative is kinda the best option. If use powersaver, even scrolling left to right lags alot, and i mean alot.. If use on demand, is good for saving juice, but live wallpapers does not seem to execute smoothly as compared to when I used conservative. And lastly performance, is definitely the juice killer... Although the live wallpaper runs most smoothly on performance, but the juice drains most rapidly... So what do you all think would be the best choice, for striking the best balance between smoothness of live wallpaper, scrolling left to right, and the consumption of juice?? Thanks.. |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Feb 15 2012, 08:05 AM) That apk is like a timebomb that can totally brick your phone. Meaning hard brick. Not recoverable unless using jtag method CWM manager? Better stick to jig or if you want to remove only yellow triangle, cwm manager is way way way way safer. But wouldn't the jig load into download mode instead of CWM? |

Didn't bother flashing ROMs unless its upgrading versions.
Still on stock ROM, but kernel flashing is different. |

QUOTE(snigapoe @ Feb 15 2012, 09:05 AM) Nah, the stock ROM is fine for me in terms of performance.I rather have stability and usability out of the box than trying to tweak it endlessly. I need the phone to work. |

If network browsing is slow, you must go onto H instead of 3G.
The 3G icon denotes a slower speed than the H. H+ > H > 3G |
