QUOTE(ellimist @ Feb 17 2012, 10:29 AM) The symptom been there since I drive from Klang to KL (via federal, into subang, then npe) Trying KL1 now. Will monitor to end day and see how If persist, probably have to start from scratch? Dono how to diagnose what the issue is also lol Added on February 17, 2012, 10:30 amAh is it? Mine like don't move one wor. Hmm but make sense. I always see the green arrow up (assuming that's upload) when on 3G, but the orange arrow down don't move one >_> If no connection up, your data won't get communicated to the server. So got down arrow also no use, no data will flow down. Any action you do needs to be communicated via upload. With a slow upload, then initiating a download will be slow. Download speed is a totally different thing.

Fast dormancy is 1 thing.
When you changed kernels, did you clear the init.d scripts? And all other useless junk that the kernel did?

QUOTE(ellimist @ Feb 17 2012, 01:36 PM) Ah actually I didn't. That can cause connection issues also? Yes it can. Flash the cleaning script, then flash ur kernel and ROM over again.

It will clear all scripts in init.d So if you want anything, just flash back after.
Kernel + ROM + whatever else script you want in

Fast domancy is not that efficient at dropping your signal. The time is not so fast I think.
3G alone isn't very good, 384kbps only. H+ is better.

QUOTE(olak329 @ Feb 18 2012, 08:58 PM) Had an s II. Love for it slimness, lightness, good Cam. Dont like for it very bright Screen, not suitable for my eyes, even reduce the brightness, cant see well. My eyes only for LCD, badly. And the 'force close' and hang is annoying. Overall, a good phone! Speedmod kernel can reduce min brightness to lower for comfortable reading.

Most would implement it to free up bandwidth.

before you removed the SD card, since you find that it is causing the phone to hang.
Have you tried the SD card speed increase app? Change it to 2048KB instead of whatever stock value it is.
See if it hangs at that value.

Its not so much on the game side, but whether the firmware allows apps2EXT.
Need to partition the extSD into 2 with 1 being EXT3 another being NTFS. Worth a shot at it.

QUOTE(antt00 @ Feb 22 2012, 09:34 AM) I did ext partition before when on HD2, dun really like it. Dun ask me why its just a feeling. Feels insecure with your data in external sd because for me the external sd is more easily to get damaged or corrupted. And also removing the ext partition later is not easy. There is this patch here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...hlight=gameloftto move gameloft data to external sd. But never tried before and there could be a few games that won't work. They key is a high speed card. Damage or corruption? Hm... I can't really say whether thats the case, but I don't think you'd need to worry that much. EXT partition removal is easy using console parted, or chuck it into a SD reader to format. Well, there must be a reason why the internal SD is preferred by gameloft, even though the amount of data is staggering for just 1 game. But I don't see why there'd be a problem if someone increases the SD card read speed and put the data on ext SD.

I know, I have a milestone as well.
But it was recommended to swap to ext3 and not 4.
