QUOTE(ellimist @ Feb 16 2012, 08:23 AM) Ah then yeah, guess it's not as fast. And for me personally, I'm a fan of speed over smoothness of transitions Transition smoothness/GUI smoothness is just a perception many people have.Hmm maybe needs time for ICS to mature abit? Or it's just cause of all the added transitions that's slowing it down? What do you feel when using your Nex And oh guys, checkrom V6 right around the corner. Should be out late evening/night our time my guess I find that a launcher's developer would be able to optimise GUI smoothness if they wanted to. I rather have speed over smoothness too because if its slow its slow. I have a milestone on CM7 that's smooth, but slow when opening apps. But can't help it if the RAM and processor speed is ..z. On the other hand, the SGS that I had, was smooth and relatively fast. Even though the GUI would occasionally be jerky, now with MIUI and Golauncher it is smooth and snappy. User experience for that is much better than original, darky or even CM7. My everyday phone however is the SGS2, and although the only tweak I've done to it was to flash speedmod kernel. Using golauncher, the GUI is smooth and the experience is fast. Although 'fast' is a relatively subjective term, it loads apps and websites quick enough for me to feel good using it. A lot of my friends who complain about a phone being slow, etc. I will bring out my milestone and tell them that 'slow' isn't the right term, but rather choppy. |

Maybe it's umobile's problem?
If it didn't bother you on another network, maybe its the network operator's fault instead of the phone. Umo is UMTS2100 only, and if no signal it should drop back down to celcom. Never select 2G? |

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Feb 16 2012, 02:28 PM) Actually what I'm keen to find out is the effectiveness of these Powerbanks in charging our SGS2... It works that way, you do have to minus off some loss from operation of the phone to the heat generated. For example, if I have a 4400maH Yoobao, does it mean that I can charge our SGS2 1650 mah (from zero to 100%) two times...ie 1650 x 2 = 3300maH... still less than 4400mah. Does it work like that? Or a fully charged 4400maH Yoobao will never be able to charge our SGS2 1650mah from 0% to 100%? Thanks for any advice from those who have experience with these Powerbanks... But generally yes, your calculation is for layman. |

Well, its like carrying a portable 2.5" hard disk drive.
Not that bad tbh. Just wear cargo pants or shorts that have pockets like cargo pants. |

QUOTE(Positron @ Feb 16 2012, 11:11 PM) Correct me if i am wrong, but normally from what I've heard the European countries have slightly better performance compared to Asian countries, of course excluding Korean Samsung.. Although both are non-G, but the European ones are slightly better, I heard this from a European guy ( What a load of bs. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Feb 17 2012, 03:47 AM) How to update Google Map? There's no app for it in the Android Market(G version) and can't even update from the app itself! Check market.android.com and search for maps.See if your device compatible. If compatible, you can choose to uninstall it via titanium then install the market version. |
