yeah, it worth the USD 6 price tag.

i ve just notice that we can get gameloft games cheaper when buying from their wapshop instead from the market. biggrin.gif

only RM6 instead of USD6.

Thats because from market u can install into other phones/devices.

In their shop, you're screwed. smile.gif

Go read their purchase policy.

Its not a must to custom rom.
I'm on stock rom, no issues for me at all.

No antivirus at all.
Of the family and friends that I have regular contact with using android, about 20+, no one has gotten malwares.

For me batch restore isn't critical at all.

I can always install using www.market.android.com

Easier that way, you can view your app downloaded library and just install.

The anti-theft feature is built into the phone already without the need to install avast.

Under setting-> location and security -> Remote control / Alert message recipients and SIM change alert.

But i doubt got alarm. lol

The Avast! has a lot more feature. You can assign  1 to 2 of your friend's number...then from your friends number, they can send SMS remotely to activate various commands...

If the thief change sim card, a sms will be sent to your assigned friends that new number! You can call the thief and talk to him!

But this is only if the thief doesn't know how to flash the phone.

If the thief sells it to some mobile shop with someone who knows how to tinker, then the phone also as good as gone.

Galaxy s2 costs RM2k and you can afford tongue.gif
If you have only 10~20 apps, then you can do it manually. I have 400+ apps, no way to do it manually. Some more, you pay for it one time only, next time you change phone, you still can use it. Think in a different way and you will feel it's cheap.

400+ apps? Man, what do you need so many for? lolz.

Samsung is very femes for standing monolithic tall among the phone giants by having a strong point which is thinness.. of course the sides they make it thicker, but nevertheless, people tend of forget it as the marketing tool which they use is dual core lightning speed cpu obscures the view and perception of buyers as they keep on thinking of the speed over than the more important aspects like the battery life.. I think when most customers buy the S2 only a few will ask the sales person about the battery life..

I think it's those small aspects in life that makes a huge difference after seeing the bigger picture..

I don't mind compromising battery life for a better spec'ed phone.
The sgs2's battery life for me is good enough, of course having better battery life is great, but I'm not stuck in the middle of the amazon.

hi guys, after f***ing up my rom installation, decided to reflash stock rom via odin.

rom was one of the ics miui rom variants....

found the exact one and flashed, everything was succesful. but now stuck in bootloop....weird....

samsung logo keep spinning around.....
*
Did you do a full wipe?
Usually first time initialising will take a few minutes, longest I've waited was about 10min.

Also, I usually practice the following when going from stock to custom rom, especially one like CM7 or its variants.

1) Flash CWM
2) Install ROM via CWM
3) Complete factory reset/wipe/whatever u want to call it
4) Reflash the same custom ROM via CWM again
5) Let it load

I just realised that my Sansung Dive is not working with my Criskelo KL1. Is there any way I can clear the samsung account from the phone and add the account again?

When I try removing, it says that it can only be done by hard resetting the phone. Anyone else here on Criskelo and having this problem?

Clear application data?

Well for security's sake I think you can't do it without first factory resetting the phone.

Batteries have come a long way, although they are set to improve this year.

Not that long ago, batteries still had their own packs. Those first generation motorola phones, batteries were the size of a small drink cooler.

Hi all,
Im one of the new owner s2 currently.
Can I ask something related to wifi in s2.

How do i stop the wifi-scanning after it already connected to my streamyx wifi?
Coz..if it didnt stop scanning it will effect our battery life rite..?
Mind to share?

Thanks!
*
If I am not wrong, you'd need to be rooted to change the scan interval.
But generally the battery use via this isn't that big a deal.

You cannot stop the scanning completely though.
