I've a serious question. I've been wanting to root and install in cm7 for the longest time, but was really REALLY apprehensive about it.

Will it affect any of my installed apps? (specifically I run google and blizzard authenticator which is a hassle to remove). Need definite yes/nay on it.

Anyone?

Bros, need something for the sifus to clarify. What is your stand on task killer? Against it,or with it. Some of the articles on the internet cites task killer as a major battery drainer, while some thinks otherwise. Can the otais here clarify this?

Rooting should not affect it. Flashing CM7 will definitely call for full wipe meaning all your app and data are gone. If you use titanium backup you can restore back all your app and data. How it will effect that specific app i do not know.

I dun use it and also do not recommend it. Android manages task very well. Also SGS2 got lots of ram. As long as you exit apps properly there should not be any problem.

Hmm, that is an interesting question.

If possible, we can use the Powerpoint in our Polaris Office to give a slide presentation from our SGS2...cool

Yep. My main concern is to make presentation with the phone biggrin.gif

Those in the market only have microUSB to HDMI. No idea how to make it work.

SOLVED

Apparently it was caused by Call Recorder | Total Recall. After freezing it, everything has gone back to normal.

Repost it from XDA (problem that I am facing)

When trying to make call, calling screen won't appear right away but delayed.

For example, I found my contact, then slide/press call, but the dialer/contact will freeze for like 15seconds before the calling screen will appear. However, the phone is not freeze, I can still press home and do my stuff then the calling screen will appear afterwards.

Tried:
1. Multiple custom/stock ROM
2. Using third party dialer/contact
3. Clear dialer/contact data

I hope I am not alone.
