Hi there, I have problem with my bold 9900. Whenever I tick mobile network to start service, this bold will restart and bootloop until I enter the save mode and untick back. I need to know whether this problem can be setle and how to do it.

Thx

if you need to enter safemode, that means one of the apps is making your blackberry going bad. can you remember what app that you last installed?

uninstalling it / deleting it may work.

i suspect your theme is incompatible, if you're able to enter safe mode, can you delete the theme and go back to original?

hard reset isn't a wipe, so it probably won't fix the problem.

Hello guys, I am thinking of buying a Blackberry Bold 9900 while I'm out station to KL in the next few days. Using touch screen for typing for quite some time now and I've decided to give physical keyboard a try. From most reviews that I had read, 9900 is touted to have a superior keyboard tactile and ergonomic feedback. One might ask why purchase a 3 years old device? For me the answer is simple, I want a physical key for accepting/rejecting call and the price seemed reasonable now while waiting for Q20. The lack of such key on Q10, flat keyboard layout, and touch gesture had swayed me away. A couple of questions though before I jumped into this BB bandwagon:

1. Do I need to subscribe to BIS even if I just want to use Wifi?

2. Does any mobile carrier, particularly Digi still sell them as package?

3. Any good place to purchase within the vicinity of PJ, KL, Setia Alam or Klang Valley? I will be staying in Setia Alam for a couple of days.

1. YES
2. Not anymore, as far as I remember. Maybe UMobile / Tunetalk?
3. Not sure as I don't live in that area.

I see. In this case is it wise to purchase it off any seller here on LYN? Or just visit their retail shop?

Dear Lowyat users,

I am currently a new BB user, primarily I am an android user (Galaxy S4).
Recently received a used BB Bold 4 9900 from my dad, since he is upgrading his phone.

Straight to the question that I require assistance with,
If you refer to the picture attachment within this topic,
the notification bar shows both Messages and Whatsapp.

However, I am curious, why is it that my Whatsapp messages only shows in Messages folder, while the Whatsapp only shows the title "Option".

And before I'm asked, I have already went to settings in Whatsapp to enable showing messages in Messages folder.

*edited* Also, How do i setup Gmail on my Blackberry? I have tried to setup my company email on it, and it worked fine.
However, when i try to setup gmail (using my Google ID and Password), it says that my ID and Password is incorrect, and I need to contact Google.
And yes, I have already allow connection from less secure apps using Google.

*edited* Is there any possible way to turn off the annoying beeping/alert sound when I dial *100# or any operator service?

Appreciate the kind assistance from the pro BB user in Lowyat forum to assist me on this matter.

TQ
JSJ
