All current generation phone batteries will never charge to 100% due to built in safety features inside the batteries.

Guys I realized something with my battery recently.
After a simple reboot, battery can drop suddenly like 30-50% battery. Then after sometime, it will slowly raise again. Calibrated nearly all ways I can think off. What is wrong le? Added on February 12, 2012, 12:23 am QUOTE(1wildcat1 @ Feb 12 2012, 12:20 AM) For me, a good topic should have A vs B to avoid those new users keep asking the same questions over and over again. However, try put it on the last post or something. Just my 2 cents. This post has been edited by nicregi: Feb 12 2012, 12:23 AM |

QUOTE(nicregi @ Feb 12 2012, 12:28 AM) Guess what? You mean the battery? Yeah, the battery when reboot. The other day my S2 hanged and I popped out the battery, pop it back in and the battery drained to around 30% when it was 80% charged. Then slowly the battery increased back.If you are talking about the battery, it definitely not right. Been using SG since it is released and something is wrong. |

Definitely something wrong and I am assuming is kernel or rom related. This is because been using since July '11 and this doesn't happen that often. Usually this happen, a quick calibration will solve the problem but not this time. Weird.I noticed this cos I change kernel alot and wiping battery stats, calibration and checking for battery is common for me. |

If it's that cheap I'll grab a few 16Gb too... Btw, I just came back and open up the thread, and I was aghast to see positron. ?? Come on, the username is taken already, and positron actually means the positive charge of an electron.. I suggest you change it to tachyon as it is a hypothetical subatomic particle that scientists believed to move faster than speed of light breaking einstein's famous speed of light limitation... Erm...honestly YES and NO.I heard S II's battery life can last 20 hours + 15% left is this true? Yes if you: 1. Control brightness 2. Idle most of the time 3. Basic light user No if you: 1. Heavy user 2. Play games 3. Screen backlight is not lowest Consider this, on heavy using (browsing and games), phone can last about 3-4 hours straight. On heavy usage daily (less games), can last between 8-12 hours. Of course, longer is possible depending on your usage. |

How about Social Networking, reading articles via browser/impulse and whatsapp?
Thinking of changing to S III from my iPhone 3GS when it releases. From predictions, S III will triumph S II, so that makes my expectations quite high.. It would be nice for a change to use Android instead of iOS anyway. |

It's true but like most people suggested it requires most of the time idling..I heard S II's battery life can last 20 hours + 15% left is this true? Yup if I play jelly defense straight, its only about 3-4 hours non-stop.. But if you use than leave it idle for few hours then continue play games than idle, its about 8-12 hours.. But if you leave it idle most of the time, my record was 1 and the half days.. But I guess some people can get it to two days max... |
